Abstract:
The object of the present invention is to provide a casting method capable of simultaneously attaining the shortening of cycle time and the improvement in casting quality. The pressure allowing the molten metal level to go up to the positions of from P0 to P4 is applied to the molten metal within a molten metal reservoir 1. Then, the pressure of P4 is maintained for a predetermined time. During this time, the molten metal which comes into contact with an upper die 4 is cooled earlier than the molten metal being in contact with another die. Through this cooling the molten metal shrinks. However, since the pressure of P4 is maintained, the molten metal is supplied from the lower side to a shrunk portion, so as not to cause shrinkage cavity or underfill.
Abstract:
A manufacturing technology is provided capable of improving the reliability of a semiconductor module having a via contact connected to an electrode part of a semiconductor device. A conductive bump is formed on an insulating layer such that the end of the conductive bump is in contact with an electrode of a semiconductor substrate. By pressure-molding the assembly using a press machine, the semiconductor substrate, the conductive bump, and the insulating layer are integrated. With this, the conductive bump is allowed to embed itself in the insulating layer while maintaining contact with the electrode. The insulating layer is subject to laser irradiation from above so as to form an aperture exposing the conductive bump. Subsequently, the upper surface of the insulating layer and the interior surface of the aperture are plated with copper by electroless plating and electroplating so as to form a copper plating layer, and a via contact is formed in the aperture so as to coat the inner wall of the aperture.
Abstract:
A circuit board and a circuit apparatus using the same which can prevent displacement and film exfoliation ascribable to thermal expansion, and suppress a drop in reliability at increasing temperatures. The circuit board of the circuit apparatus includes a metal substrate having pierced holes as a core member. Protrusions are formed on the top ends of the pierced holes, and depressions are formed in the bottom ends of the pierced holes. Wiring pattern layers are formed on both sides of this metal substrate via respective insulating layers. In order to establish electrical connection between the wiring pattern layers, a conductor layer which connects the wiring pattern layers is formed through the metal substrate via the pierced holes. The conductor layer thereby establishes electrical conduction between the wiring pattern layers. Furthermore, a semiconductor chip is directly connected to the surface side of the circuit board via solder balls.
Abstract:
A process for manufacturing a siamese-type clyinder block which is disclosed herein comprises a blank making step of providing a cylinder block blank in which a sleeve made of a cast iron is cast in each cylinder barrel of a siamese-type barrel made of an aluminum alloy and consisting of a plurality of cylinder barrels connected in series, and a mechanically working or machining step of forming the inner peripheral surface of each sleeve of the cylinder block blank into a true circle. The process is characterized in that the blank making step includes placing highly rigid sleeves each having a thickness set as large as 10% or more of the inner diameter thereof into a siamese-type cylinder barrel molding cavity in a mold and then pouring a molten metal of aluminum alloy under a pressure into the cavity to effect a casting. The sleeve is cast-in as it is at an ambient temperature or in a heated state. A cylinder block blank resulting from the casting-in of sleeves at an ambient temperature is subjected to a thermal treatment for reducing the casting strain in each cylinder barrel.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a siamese-type cylinder block, which comprises the steps of pouring under pressure a molten metal of aluminum alloy into a siamese-type cylinder barrel molding cavity with an expansion force applied to the sleeve placed in such cavity, and then removing the expansion force after the completion of solidification of the molten metal to cast a cylinder block blank, and subjecting the resulting blank to a working operation for forming the peripheral inner surface of the sleeve into a true circle.
Abstract:
A toner replenishing device is improved to prevent unexpected dropping of toner when attaching a toner storage cartridge to a toner receptacle of a developer and detaching it therefrom. The cartridge is easily attached to the developer and is hooked in place thereto when a sheet sealing an open end of the cartridge is removed. The cartridge easily is detached from the developer by the operation of a cam portion engaging with a hooking member as a result of displacement of the cartridge by a distance equal to the thickness of the sheet and a sheet tearing member which previously are removed from the cartridge.
Abstract:
A copying paper is deflected at least twice in the conveying process thereof from a paper feeding means to a photoreceptor which is disposed in the lower reaches of the conveying direction, whereby the positional state of the top edge of the copying paper is corrected at least twice. Since the extent of each deflection of the copying paper can be reduced, a habit of creasing, which has been a bad influence upon the transferring process, is not inflicted on the copying paper. The correction of the position of the top of the copying paper can be accurately carried out, whereby a clear image can be formed on the appointed position of the copying paper.
Abstract:
A paper feeder equipped with copying paper cassettes comprises a cassette-receiving section within the housing of a copying apparatus for mounting thereon a plurality of copying paper cassettes containing sheets of copying paper having different sizes. Each of the paper cassettes includes a main body for holding paper sheets which has an opening formed at the forward end portion of its bottom wall and a bottom plate for placing paper sheets thereon which is mounted on the bottom wall of the main body of the cassette so that it can freely pivot about its rear end portion as a fulcrum. The housing of the coyping apparatus has provided therein a press-contacting mechanism adapted to act on the bottom plate of the cassette through the opening in the main cassette body. The bottom plate of at least that paper cassete which contains sheets of copying paper having a relatively large size has a compensation piece formed therein so that the press-contacting pressure under which the uppermost paper sheet of the sheets of paper having a relatively large size is kept in press contact with a paper feeding member provided in the cassette-receiving section becomes substantially equal to the press-contacting pressure under which the uppermost paper sheet of the sheets of copying paper having a relatively small size is kept in press contact with the paper feeding member.
Abstract:
A power transmitting device especially suitable for use in photocopying machines includes a driving shaft and a driven shaft. When locking members on the respective shafts are axially disengaged from each other, the driven shaft and the driving shaft are rotatively displaced with respect to each other by a predetermined angle so that the locking members may be freely and positively locked when the driving shaft and driven shaft are axially reengaged.
