Abstract: An optical sensing device adopted to use structured light to detect an object is provided. The optical sensing device includes a structured light projector and a sensor. The structured light projector includes a light source and at least one beam multiplication film. The light source is configured to emit a light beam. The at least one beam multiplication film is disposed on a transmission path of the light beam and is made of anisotropic refractive index material, wherein a plurality of separated light beams are produced after the light beam from the light source passes through the at least one beam multiplication film, so as to form the structured light. The sensor is configured to sense the structured light reflected from the object. Besides, a structured light projector is also provided.

Abstract: A tunable light projector including a light source, a fixed optical phase modulator, a tunable liquid crystal panel, and a driver is provided. The light source is configured to emit a light beam. The fixed optical phase modulator is disposed on a path of the light beam and configured to modulate phases of the light beam. The tunable liquid crystal panel is disposed on the path of the light beam from the fixed optical phase modulator and configured to switch the light beam between a structured light and a flood light. The driver is electrically connected to a first electrode layer and a second electrode layer of the tunable liquid crystal panel and configured to change a voltage difference between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer, so as to switch the light beam between the structured light and the flood light.

Abstract: An optical system including at least one liquid crystal lens and an imaging lens module is provided. The optical system is configured to form an image of an object. The at least one liquid crystal lens and the imaging lens module is disposed on a path of light from the object. The at least one liquid crystal lens includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer. The second substrate is opposite to the first substrate. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. An effective refractive index of each position on the liquid crystal layer is related to an voltage applied, and the at least one liquid crystal lens is configured to change an optical axis of the at least one liquid crystal lens by changing distribution of orientations of liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer.

Abstract: A liquid crystal (LC) lens comprises a first substrate, a first electrode structure, an electrically tunable LC layer structure, a second substrate and a second electrode structure, wherein the electrically tunable LC layer structure is arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate. The electrically tunable LC layer structure includes at least two LC layers stacked on top of one another, and each LC layer further includes at least one LC unit. In the stacked structure, at least one of the LC layers includes at least one partition unit to partition the LC layer into one or more LC units. The layout of the LC units of the upper LC layer differs from that of the lower LC layer. In the present invention, the shape and layout of the LC units are designed to provide better optical performance without changing the thickness of the liquid crystal lens.

Abstract: An optical system for aberration compensation comprising an optical module and an asymmetric refractive index distribution film is disclosed. Abstract: A dimmer includes a liquid crystal (LC) panel and a driving circuit. The LC panel has a plurality of LCs doped with dichroic dye. The LC panel comprises a plurality of pixels. The driving circuit is electrically connected to the LC panel, and configured to control driving of the pixels of the LC panel. At least one of the pixels has a storage capacitor and an LC capacitor coupled in parallel. A ratio of a capacitance value of the LC capacitor to a capacitance value of the storage capacitor is greater than 10:1. The driving circuit is configured to control an LC angle of LCs in each of the pixels, and the dichroic dye is driven by surrounding LCs and presents an angle correlated with the LC angle of the surrounding LCs.
