Abstract:
An antenna device usable in a radio apparatus including a printed board includes a ground conductor of the printed board, a first partial element, a second partial element and a parasitic element. The first partial element is shaped into an area having a first side facing a side of the ground conductor and a second side directed to cross the side of the ground conductor, and is provided with a feed portion around a first end of the first side being closer to the second side. The second partial element branches off from the first partial element around one of two ends of the second side being farther from the feed portion, and is directed almost against a direction from the feed portion to a second end of the first side being farther from the second side. The parasitic element has an end grounded around the second end.

Abstract:
An antenna device usable in a radio apparatus having a printed board includes a ground conductor provided in the printed board, a fed partial element, a first branch element and a second branch element. The fed partial element is shaped as an area including a feed portion near an end of a first side of the area facing a side of the ground conductor, and a first branch portion and a second branch portion each near a portion of a fringe of the area other than the first side. The fed partial element may be fed at the feed portion. The first branch element branches off from the first branch portion and is folded back in a direction approaching the feed portion. The second branch element branches off from the second branch portion and is shaped in a direction close to the direction of the first branch element.
Abstract:
An antenna device to be loaded into an information apparatus has an antenna unit composed of antenna members which have a plurality of radio communication frequency bands, and which are divided into two of an element part having a flexural portion and a GND part, and a holding member composed of a member having non-conductivity, such as a resin member, to hold the respective antenna members so as to leave a constant gap g from the antenna members within a window area, the holding member being mounted so as to hang on an edge at the outside of a frame body of a liquid crystal display panel in an LCD housing of a PC.
Abstract:
According to an embodiment, a laptop personal computer comprises a display housing with a display unit, a main body housing which houses a radio communication module, a connecting unit which rotatably connects between the display housing and the main body housing, a first radio communication antenna as a main antenna which is formed at an end part of the display housing almost orthogonal to the connecting unit, a second radio communication antenna as a sub antenna which is formed at an end part of the display housing in almost parallel with the connecting unit, the second radio communication antenna making a pair with the first radio communication antenna, a first cable which connects the first radio communication antenna to the radio communication module through the connecting unit, and a second cable which connects the second radio communication antenna to the radio communication module through the connecting unit.
Abstract:
A PC includes a main body housing and lid. The main body housing has an input unit on the upper surface, and the lid pivotally attached to the back portion via a hinge. The lid has a liquid crystal display on the inner surface, and an antenna disposed above the display to communicate with a peripheral device. The PC has a detector made up of a push type switch and projection for detecting the open/closed state of the lid. The CPU of the PC detects the open/closed state of the lid by a detection signal from the detector, and controls shift of the peripheral device between a normal mode and a power saving mode.
Abstract:
An electronic device comprises a pair of diversity antenna modules of a first wireless communication scheme placed near the left and right ends of a display unit, and an antenna module of a second wireless communication scheme placed between the pair of diversity antenna modules. Each antenna module comprises a flexible substrate and an antenna provided on the substrate, in which a portion of the substrate having the antenna thereon projects from the upper end of the display unit is folded toward the front side of the display unit.

Abstract:
According to one embodiment, an antenna apparatus comprises a first antenna element, a first lumped constant element, a first lumped constant element, a switch and at least one second lumped constant element. The first antenna element comprises a forward part, a folded part and a backward part, the forward part includes a start point connected to a feeding point, and the backward part includes an end point connected to ground. The first lumped constant element is inserted in the backward part. The switch is configured to select a current path in accordance with a control signal. The at least one second lumped constant element is to be selectively connected in parallel to the first lumped constant element through the switch.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, an antenna device includes a short circuit path, a first open-ended element, a feed side element, a second open-ended element, and a short circuit element. One end of the short circuit path is connected to a ground point near a feed point. The first open-ended element extends from another end of the short circuit path. The feed side element extends from near the feed point in a direction in which the first open-ended element extends with an edge close to ground. The second open-ended element extends from near an end of the feed side element in the direction in which the first open-ended element extends. The short circuit element connects between an end of the first open-ended element and a point on an edge of the feed side element opposite the edge close to the ground or a point on the second open-ended element.
