Abstract: Systems and methods provide power to a device via a dock. A mounting base may include a mounting component, including a receiving area configured to removably receive a mating device at a plurality of orientations within a plane, wherein the mounting component comprises one or more indexing members and the mating device comprises one or more indexing elements, or the mating device comprises one or more indexing members and the mounting component comprises one or more indexing elements, the indexing members and elements configured to engage each other to align the mating device with the mounting component in one or more rotational orientations on said plane. A detector, configured to detect the presence of the mating device, and a driver circuit may be included. A device may be configured to control power sourced to the mating device by the driver circuit after the detector detects the mating device.

Abstract: A panel with a bracket is used to install a component to a wallboard. The panel is inserted into an opening to a wallboard, and the junction between the panel and the wallboard is taped and spackled so that the wallboard and panel appear to be a single object. When the component is fully coupled to the bracket, the front of the component is slightly recessed from the front of the panel. A component cover could then be inserted into the newly created recess so that the component appears to be completely flush with the wallboard.

Abstract: A multi-zone audio system is provided that is portable to a handheld audio device at a plurality of locations. The system includes a multi-zone audio system controller having an audio input/output selection circuit for selectively regulating the source and distribution of audio signals. A plurality of handheld connector docks are distributed about the multi-zone system. Each connector dock is in communication with the audio system controller. The connector docks include a connector port, engagable to the handheld device, for communicating music/data/commands between the handheld device and the system controller. A plurality in-wall audio controllers are also distributed about the multi-zone system. Each in-wall controller is in communication with the audio system controller, and includes an input circuit for selective input of commands to regulate operation of the system controller and/or the handheld device. Abstract: A wall-mounted component can be flush-mounted into a wallboard by first installing a panel with a receiver bracket flush into a wallboard. Once the panel is installed, the component can be inserted into the receiver bracket at which point a locking mechanism automatically or manually engages to lock the component into the wall. The locking mechanism is concealed from view so that a casual observer does not see how the component is affixed to the wall, yet is accessible from the wall's exterior for routine service and maintenance, as well as reinstallation of updated components.

Abstract: A flangeless mounting system, suitable for in-wall speakers and other components, includes a panel that is finished to provide at least a superficially continuous junction between the edges of the panel and the surrounding wall, ceiling, or other structure. A rim advantageously extends outwardly from a first surface of the panel by a small distance, which in currently preferred embodiments is about 1/16th inch to ⅛th inch. A collar is preferably installed about the inner edge of the opening, and a receiver is attached to the collar or directly to the panel. Magnetic, threaded, detent, and frictional means are contemplated for maintaining the component in position relative to the receiver.

Abstract: A bracket for the in-wall mounting of speakers having a bracket frame member configured to receive at least one speaker and also having a plurality of wing members attached to the bracket frame member. The wing members having a thin portion to facilitate attachment to a wall intermediate a wall frame and a wall covering such that bowling or bulging of the wall covering is mitigated and the need to notch or mortise the wall frame is eliminated. The wing members additionally comprise a thick portion which serves as a clamping member. The position of the wing members relative to the frame member is adjustable after the bracket has been installed into a wall without requiring removal of the bracket from the wall.

Abstract: A retrofit bracket for wall mount speakers has a support surface configured for mounting at least one speaker thereto and a pair of elongate clamping bars extending across to opposite sides of the rear of the support surface and adjustably attach thereto such that a wall covering is clampably capturable intermediate the support surface and the bars. An adjustment means facilitates varying of the distance between the support surface and the bars to accommodate various wall covering thicknesses. The elongate bars are sufficiently flexible to provide spring tension against the wall covering captured intermediate the bars and the support surface. A foot is formed upon each end of the elongate bars for distributing the force applied by the bars over an increased surface area. The use of feet to spread the force of the bars over an increased surface area mitigates the potential for compression of the wall covering captured therebeneath. The use of bars which are sufficiently flexible to provide spring tension against the wall covering provide for continued tension of the feet against the wall covering as the wall covering compresses. Thus, the retrofit bracket for wall mount speakers of the present invention provides a means whereby speakers mounted to a wall covering are not susceptible to loosening due to compression of the wall covering and consequently are not susceptible to the degradation of performance and appearance caused thereby.

Abstract: A telescoping support bracket for providing convenient installation of wall mounted speakers and the like comprises a body attachable to an architectural structure such as a wall or ceiling and a telescoping member slidably movable relative to the body to which a bezel may be attached. The bezel is configured to receive and attach the desired component. Movement of the telescoping member relative to the body provides depth adjustment to compensate for varying wall covering thickness such that a desired surface of the component may be mounted flush with the outside surface of the architectural structure. Thus, a speaker, for example, may be quickly mounted with the grill flush to the outside surface of a wall. The telescoping mount bracket of the present invention thereby eliminates the need to perform a custom installation wherein custom brackets and/or other fixtures must typically be fabricated.

Abstract: Peptides which inhibit the secretion of gonadotropins by the pituitary gland and inhibit the release of steroids by the gonads. Administration of an effective amount of such GnRH antagonists prevents ovulation of female mammalian eggs and/or the release of steroids by the gonads. These peptides may be used to treat steroid-dependent tumors, such as prostatic and mammary tumors. The peptides are cyclic analogs of the decapeptide GnRH wherein there is a covalent bond between the residue in the 4-position and the residue in the 10-position.
