The fusion proteins further comprise an enzyme having ACC deaminase activity, a phospholipase, a lipase, a xylanase, a xylosidase, a lactonase, a chitosanase, a protease, a glucanase, a phytase, an acid phosphatase, a pectinase, a mannanase, and/or an expansin protein. Also provided are recombinant Bacillus cereus family members that express the fusion proteins, exosporium fragments derived from the recombinant Bacillus cereus family members, and formulations containing the recombinant Bacillus cereus family members or exosporium fragments. Plant seeds treated with the recombinant Bacillus cereus family members, exosporium fragments, or formulations are also provided. The invention further relates to methods for stimulating plant growth and/or promoting plant health using the recombinant Bacillus cereus family members, exosporium fragments, or formulations.

Methods for stimulating plant growth and/or promoting plant health using free enzymes or recombinant microorganisms that overexpress enzymes are provided. Plant seeds coated with free enzymes or recombinant microorganisms that overexpress enzymes are also provided. Compositions comprising a fertilizer and an enzyme or a recombinant microorganism that overexpresses an enzyme are provided. Modified enzymes having ACC deaminase activity, recombinant microorganisms expressing the modified enzymes, plant seeds treated with the modified enzymes or recombinant microorganisms, and methods for stimulating plant growth and/or promoting plant health using the modified enzymes or recombinant microorganisms are also provided.
Abstract:
Bioactive priming polypeptides are provided that are useful when applied to plants in agricultural formulations. Methods of using the formulations containing the bioactive priming polypeptides are also provided which are applied exogenously to the surface of a plant or a plant cell membrane or endogenously to the interior of a plant or to a plant cell. The bioactive priming polypeptides when applied to a plant, a plant part, or a plant growth medium or a rhizosphere in an area surrounding the plant or the plant part increase growth, yield, health, longevity, productivity, and/or vigor of a plant or a plant part and/or decrease abiotic stress in the plant or the plant part and/or protect the plant or the plant part from disease, insects and/or nematodes, and/or increase the innate immune response of the plant or the plant part and/or change plant architecture.

Abstract:
Herbicide-detoxifying enzymes, compositions containing one or more of the enzymes, and plant seeds treated with the enzymes are provided. The enzymes can be used in methods for detoxifying auxin herbicides or degrading auxin plant regulators, including in methods for decontaminating surface of an apparatus used in agriculture or pesticide manufacturing, methods for decontaminating water, soil, soilless media, or sludge, and methods for protecting a plant from an auxin herbicide, improving a plant's tolerance to an auxin herbicide, or removing an auxin herbicide from the surface of a plant.
