Abstract:
A magnetic device includes a cylindrical portion and a flange portion. The cylindrical portion is mounted with a cylindrical shaped flexible sleeve. The sleeve is axially longer than the cylindrical portion and includes an outer peripheral concavo-convex portion. When one end of the sleeve is abutted on a flange portion, the other end of the sleeve is projected above an attractive surface to form a keeper housing recess. The sleeve is relatively moved in an axial direction of the magnetic device to be inserted into and removed from a top end of the cylindrical portion. The magnetic device is used under condition the sleeve is fitted, an outer side surface of the magnetic device including the outer peripheral concavo-convex portion of the sleeve and the flange portion abutted on the one end of the sleeve is embedded in a denture base, and the keeper housing recess is exposed.
Abstract:
When a pulley and an armature are coupled with each other, first and second permanent magnets place the movable member at a location where a magnetic resistance of an attracting magnetic circuit, which generates an attracting magnetic force to couple between the pulley and the armature, is reduced. In contrast, when the pulley and the armature are decoupled from each other, the movable member is placed at a location where the magnetic resistance of the attracting magnetic circuit is increased, and a magnetic resistance of a non-attracting magnetic circuit is reduced. Thereby, a coupled state or a decoupled state of the pulley and the armature can be maintained without an erroneous operation.

Abstract:
A printing device includes a nozzle row for chromatic ink comprising K nozzles and a nozzle row for achromatic ink comprising (n·K) nozzles. In a color region, an image-forming operation is performed m times in which the movement direction of the nozzle rows switches alternately between forward and reverse directions, whereby a region of the image having a predetermined width is foamed along a first direction of an image. The image-forming operation performed m times includes the image-forming operation performed once in which both of the nozzle rows for chromatic ink and for achromatic ink are used, and the image-forming operation performed (m−1) times in which only the nozzle row for chromatic ink is used. In a monochrome region, the image-forming operation is performed once in which only the nozzle row for achromatic ink is used, whereby a region of the image having a predetermined width is formed.
Abstract:
It is an object to provide a fluid machine, which is simple in structure and in which lubricating oil containing smaller amount of the working fluid is supplied to sliding portions of an expansion device. The fluid machine has the expansion device for generating a driving force by expansion of the working fluid, which contains the lubricating oil and is heated to a gas phase condition. The fluid machine further has an electric power generating device driven by the driving force of the expansion device and generating electric power. An oil pooling portion is formed in a fluid passage, through which the working fluid discharged from the expansion device flows, such that the lubricating oil contained in the working fluid is brought into contact with at least one of sliding portions of the expansion device and the electric power generating device. And a heating unit is provided to heat the working fluid in the oil pooling portion.
Abstract:
An endless metal belt including a ring formed by laminating endless metal plates; and multiple elements continuously attached to the ring. Each of the elements has a body, a head connected to the body by a pillar, and slots formed between the body and the head on left and right sides of the pillar, respectively, for receiving the ring. The elements satisfy the equations (h/t) 40, where h is a width of the slots, t is a plate thickness of the elements, and S is an area of the head.
Abstract:
A printer driver for controlling a recording device enables easily and accurately configuring functions of a recording device that functions that are difficult to configure. When information specifying whether the transportation means of the printer 3 advances the recording medium between pages during the recording operation, and information specifying whether the roll paper 100 is cut between pages is input, the host computer 1 that controls the printer 3 displays a selection display unit that enables selecting configuration candidates indicating different combinations of whether or not the pages are advanced between pages and whether or not the paper is cut between pages on the display 1a, and when a configuration candidate is selected in the selection display unit, displays an image that graphically depicts the relative positions of the image recorded on the page, the margin formed by advancing the medium between pages, and where the paper is to be cut.
Abstract:
It is intended to compensate for a carrier leak for any carrier arrangement. There are provided a carrier leak compensating means 2 for adding compensation values to a received transmission signal, an analog quadrature modulator 4, feedback means 5-7 for receiving and quadrature-detecting part of an output signal of the analog quadrature modulator and outputting a feedback signal in which the frequency of each carrier signal is the same as in the transmission signal, a carrier leak detecting means 800 for detecting an I-phase carrier leak and a Q-phase carrier leak on the basis of the difference between cumulative addition values of an amplitude/phase-adjusted feedback signal and the transmission signal, and a carrier leak compensation value control means 9 for updating the compensation values on the basis of the detected carrier leak. The number of samples for the amplitude/phase detection may be smaller than the number of cumulative addition samples.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes: an affine transformer that subjects input complex IF signals I(t) and Q(t) to affine transformation according to affine transformation coefficients, and outputs compensated signals a(t) and b(t); a quadrature modulator that applies quadrature modulation on a local oscillation signal according to the compensated signals, and outputs a modulated signal (RF transmission signal); a quadrature wave detector that removes a carrier component from the modulated signal and outputs complex feedback signals I′(t) and Q′(t); and a control portion that extracts linear distortions remaining in the complex feedback signals I′(t) and Q′(t) as plural distortion coefficients (DC offsets of the I-phase and the Q-phase, an IQ gain ratio, and a deviation in orthogonality), and updates the current affine transformation coefficients in accordance with updating equations including the distortion coefficients to set updated affine transformation coefficients again in the affine transformation portion.
