Abstract: Technologies for solar power system performance model tuning are disclosed. In at least one illustrative embodiment, a method of tuning a system performance model for a power plant may comprise estimating an expected output of an inverter of the power plant using the system performance model, obtaining a measured output of the inverter, determining whether a difference between the expected and measured inverter outputs is within a predefined range, and tuning the system performance model using the difference in response to determining that the difference is within the predefined range. The power plant may further comprise at least one solar panel array, and the inverter may be electrically coupled to the at least one solar panel array.

Abstract: Unique systems, methods, techniques and apparatuses of an alarm management system are disclosed herein. One exemplary embodiment is a method for monitoring an industrial plant comprising determining a sequence of alarm events for each of a plurality of time intervals including a first alarm event of a plurality of alarm events and a second alarm event of the plurality of alarm events; determining a count of the first alarm events and second alarm events; determining the alarm events exceed a support threshold value; determining a third count of a sub-sequence of the sequences of alarm events including the first alarm event followed by the second alarm event in response to determining the first count and the second count exceeds the support threshold value; determining a ratio using the first count, the second count, and the third count exceeds a display threshold value; and displaying the sub-sequence.

Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, systems, and techniques for detecting and effecting countermeasures against cyber-attacks on networked electrical power system (NEPS) devices include a trusted cyber-attack detection (TCAD) component including pre-trained cyber-attack detection logic which receives a first input indicating a physical parameter of a NEPS device and a second input indicating a computational state of a computer system of the NEPS device, determines an attack metric in response to the plurality of inputs. The attack metric can indicate whether the NEPS device is in the process of being attacked or whether the NEPS device has been successfully attacked and has been compromised.

Abstract: Technologies for managing safety at an industrial site include a method. The method includes receiving, by a compute device in a cloud data center, condition data indicative of a sensed or determined condition at the industrial site. The condition data was produced at least in part by an edge device at the industrial site. The method also includes analyzing, by the compute device and with a model that associates conditions with corresponding safety statuses, the received condition data to determine a corresponding safety status associated with the industrial site. Further, the method includes determining, by the compute device and as a function of the determined safety status, whether a responsive action is to be performed at the industrial site. Additionally, the method includes sending, by the compute device, to the edge device at the industrial site and in response to a determination that a responsive action is to be performed at the industrial site, responsive data indicative of the responsive action to be performed.

Abstract: A system and method for monitoring operating conditions of an industrial installation system including a plurality industrial assets. A plurality of transponders or beacons is located in a facility or location, where each of the transponders defines a zone in which some of the industrial assets are located. One or more mobile devices is configured to identify assets located within one or more of the zones to provide information to a data acquisition and processing system, which monitors the operating conditions of each of the industrial assets. Each of the one or more mobile devices is authorized depending on a location within the facility, the identity of a user, or based on a time of day. Industrial assets that require support, such as maintenance or replacement, are identified. Authorized mobile devices are configured to transmit information to and to receive information from the data acquisition and processing system.

Abstract: Technologies for decentralized fleet analytics are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, a local cloud service at a plant site builds a first machine learning model of one or more first streams of data associated with the plant site. The local cloud service sends the first machine learning model to a cloud service connected to the plant site and other plant sites. The local cloud service receives a second machine learning model from the cloud service. The second machine learning model is trained as a function of the first machine learning model and one or more machine learning models built by the other plant sites. The local cloud service updates the first machine learning model based on the second machine learning model.
