Abstract: A user input may be received at a user device to begin a breathing sequence. First heart rate information may be presented on a display of the user device during a first phase of the breathing sequence. A fluctuating user interface element may fluctuate on the display of the user device during a second phase of the breathing sequence. Second heart rate information may be presented on the display of the user device during a first phase of the breathing sequence.

Abstract: A configuration for a breathing sequence may be defined using a user interface of a user device. The user interface may also be used to begin the breathing sequence. Prior to beginning the breathing sequence, the user device can determine a breath ratio for the breathing sequence based on a breathing profile. The breath ratio is based at least in part on inhale time and exhale time of a breath of the breathing sequence. During the breathing sequence, a fluctuating user interface element may fluctuate at a cyclic rate corresponding to the breath ratio. Such fluctuation may include repeated growing and repeated shrinking of the fluctuating user interface element.

Abstract: Button functionalities for user interfaces, e.g., for use with a portable multifunction device, are disclosed. Exemplary button functionalities are described for an electronic device with a display, a rotatable and depressible input mechanism, and/or a button. Different device features may be accessed, depending on whether the rotatable and depressible input mechanism or the button is activated, and further depending on whether the activation represents a single press, a double press, or an extended press on the rotatable and depressible input mechanism or the button.

Abstract: Implementing a configurable input component includes detecting user input via a configurable input component of a device, determining, by the device, context information, and identifying a set of actions associated with a first application. A next action is selected based on the context information, and the application is caused to perform the selected next action.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for contacting emergency response services when certain conditions are met. In some instances, it may be determined, by a wearable device, whether a user has responded to a first user interface prompt displayed in response to detection of a physical event associated with the user. In accordance with a determination that the user has not responded to the first user interface prompt after expiration of a first time period, certain actions may be performed. For example, a countdown timer may begin to run for a second timer period. During the second period, an audio alert and a haptic alert may be output by the wearable device. In accordance with a determination that the user has not responded to a second user interface prompt prior to expiration of the second time period, a communication channel request may be transmitted to an emergency response service by the wearable device.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for facilitating disabling an alarm in response to particular types of activity-indicative data. More specifically, activity-indicative data (e.g., sensor data or input(s) can be detected prior to a preset alarm time. Upon determining, based on the activity-indicative data, that a wakefulness condition is satisfied (e.g., that the activity-indicative data corresponds to one or more predefined characteristics), a disablement query can be displayed that includes an option to disable the alarm. In response to detecting a selection of the option, the alarm can be disabled such that the alarm stimuli is not to be presented at the preset alarm time.
