Abstract: The present invention is a side airbag device stowed in a side support part of a vehicle seat, which includes: an airbag capable of expanding and deploying toward a front side from the side support part; an inflator that supplies expansion gas to the airbag; and a bracket that retains the airbag in a compressed state. The inflator is secured to an inner side (occupant side) of a side frame of the vehicle seat. Furthermore, the bracket has a rear region that covers a rear side of the airbag in a compressed state and an inner region that extends continuously forward from the rear region between an inner side of the airbag and a seat pad.

Abstract: The present invention is provided with an inflator arranged on the occupant side of the side frame positioned on the side portion inside the seatback that generates expansion gas and an airbag that is expanded by the expansion gas and protects an occupant seated on the vehicle seat. The airbag includes a main chamber that deploys toward the front of the seatback, and a pre-chamber that houses the inflator inside and is connected to the occupant side of the main chamber. In addition, an internal tether having a front end part connected to the front portion of the pre-chamber and a rear end part connected to the rear portion of the pre-chamber are provided inside the pre-chamber.

RESOLUTION MEANS
The present invention is an airbag device to be stowed in a vehicle seat, comprising:
an airbag cushion that restrains an occupant by expanding and deploying;
an inflator arranged on the inner side of the seat frame which supplies expansion gas to the airbag cushion; and
a cover member made of a ductile material that melts and shrinks under heat and pressure to retain the airbag cushion. The airbag cushion includes a rear chamber section where the inflator is stowed, and a front chamber section that extends forward from the rear chamber section that is arranged outside of the seat frame when stowed. The cover member is then configured to heat and pressurize the region corresponding to the front chamber section of the airbag cushion, thereby pressurizing and retaining the relevant section of the airbag cushion.-

Abstract: A frame side plate part of a frame member of a seat along a side surface of a backrest; and a bracket attached to the frame side plate part in a condition where an airbag cushion and an inflator are secured. The frame side plate part has a notch region where a predetermined range of a front edge is cut out The bracket has: a base part which is fitted into the notch region of the frame side plate part and to which the airbag cushion and the inflator are secured; and a reaction force plate bent from a front side of the base part and extends to one side in a vehicle width direction. Guide grooves are formed on an upper edge and lower edge of the notch region, and the base part can be inserted into the notch region from the front along the guide grooves.

Abstract: A side airbag device includes an airbag 2 and an inflator. The airbag is formed in a bag shape by connecting peripheries of first and second main base cloths and of a vehicle inner side and a vehicle outer side. The airbag is partitioned into a front chamber and a rear chamber by a first partition wall. First inner tethers are provided in the front chamber and connect between a forward vehicle direction end of the front chamber and the first partition wall. Lengths of the first inner tethers and are shorter than a length between a first joint part connecting the first partition wall to the first inner tether and the forward vehicle direction end of the front chamber in the airbag in a front to rear vehicle direction before the airbag is deployed.

Resolution Means: A side airbag device 100 is provided with: a vertically long rear chamber 116, a front chamber 118 that is inflated and deployed forward and upward from the rear chamber 116, an inflator 108 contained within a rear part of the rear chamber 116, and a cloth-like first tether 112 that is provided outside of the rear chamber 116, has a front end 122 connected to a front edge portion 124 of the rear chamber 116, and has a rear end 126 connected to the rear part of the rear chamber 116, and which is tensioned when the rear chamber 116 is inflated and deployed. The rear chamber 116 has a smaller capacity than the front chamber 118, the first tether 112 is longer in the vertical direction than in the front-back direction, and the front end 122 of the first tether 112 is connected to a range that includes at least a lower end 146 of the front edge portion 124 of the rear chamber 116.

Abstract: A side airbag device 100 includes: a main bag 120, is built in a seat of a vehicle, and inflates and deploys toward a side of an occupant and a vehicle front side; an inner bag 122 which is formed in a bag shape independent of the main bag 120, and inflates and deploys on a vehicle rear side inside the main bag 120. An inflator 110 provided inside the inner bag 122 to supply gas; and a tension member 126 which spans between the vehicle front side and the vehicle rear side inside the inner bag 122 and is tensioned as the inner bag 122 inflates and deploys. The length of the inner bag 122 in the front-back direction of the vehicle at inflation is restricted by the tension member 126 to a predetermined range, and the inner bag therefore inflates in a vehicle width direction and pushes and spreads the vehicle rear side of the main bag 120 from the inside of the main bag 120 to both sides in the vehicle width direction.

Abstract: A side air bag device restraining an occupant at the early stage of the deployment. A seat back has a side support part bulging in a vehicle forward direction at a side part in a vehicle width direction. A seat frame of the seat is provided inside the seat. The side air bag device has an air bag deploying to restrain an occupant and an inflator supplying inflating gas. A side frame part of the seat frame is inside the side support part, and the side air bag device is on an outer side of the side frame. The air bag has a main chamber deploying forward and to an outer side of the side support part and a sub-chamber deploying inside the side support part. The sub-chamber deploys further toward a forward side than a vehicle forward edge of the side frame, at least a front part of the side support part protrudes and deforms toward an occupant side.
