A general description of the SPCA a power analysis at various SPCA stages is provided. A successfully tested S-band SPCA example was able to deliver 120 W of power with a gain of 50 dB and 50 percent efficiency.

Abstract: Interplanetary networks for space internet and space positioning are presented. The described networks deploy spacecraft swarms along the solar system to form a science and communications platform. The disclosed network nodes are placed around planetary Lagrange points. Creation of optical synthetic apertures using smallsat swarms for inter- and intranet communications is further described. Exemplary subnetworks such as the cislunar network are also presented.

Abstract: Multiple-link optical terabit terminals (MLOTT) allowing high speed data transfer rates in terabit per second range in an omnidirectional fashion are disclosed. The described terminals have multifaceted structure, provide full coverage, implement single laser or laser arrays, and single detector or detector arrays to achieve higher transmission rates. Wavelength division multiplexing schemes can also be used when implementing the disclosed terminals for higher data rates. Steerable mirrors and lenses can be implemented as part of the terminals and based on angle-of-arrival calculations performed in real time.

Abstract: An ultrafast omnidirectional wireless data transfer apparatus and system. The ultrafast omnidirectional wireless data transfer apparatus includes an array of laser diodes, an array of fast detectors, and a connector for connecting to a sensor, a computer, and/or a network. The array of laser diodes, and the array of fast detectors are housed in a multifaceted geometry in order to provide communication coverage in all directions. In one aspect, each laser in the array of laser diodes operates at different wavelengths. In another aspect, the ultrafast omnidirectional wireless data transfer apparatus includes field programmable gate arrays. In yet another aspect, the ultrafast omnidirectional wireless data transfer apparatus includes an array of collimators that are connected to an optical combiner. In yet another alternate aspect, an ultrafast omnidirectional wireless data transfer system includes several ultrafast omnidirectional wireless data transfer apparatuses which are optically coupled together and communicate in different wavelengths.

Abstract: An omnidirectional optical communication system. The omnidirectional optical communication system includes a multifaceted structure, a laser transmitter with a steerable mechanism, an optical detector receiver, and an angle-of-arrival system. In one aspect, the laser transmitter with a steerable mechanism, the optical detector receiver, and the angle-of-arrival system are housed in within the multifaceted structure, which enables omnidirectional optical communication. In another aspect, the omnidirectional optical communication system is used in a spacecraft for inter-spacecraft omnidirectional optical communication. In yet another aspect, the omnidirectional optical communication system is used in terrestrial applications for gigabit communications in WiFi, inter smartphones, internet of things and smart cities. In yet another aspect, the omnidirectional optical communication system further includes a global positioning system.
