A printing device includes a printing device side wireless communication unit configured to execute wireless communication with a mobile terminal, an operation acquisition unit configured to acquire user operation thereof, and a processor. The processor is configured to acquire operation data which is generated as the operation acquisition unit acquires a user operation, acquire establishment data which is generated as the printing device side wireless communication unit establishes a wireless communication with the mobile terminal, and issue a request control to control the printing device side wireless communication unit to transmit request data requesting the mobile terminal to transmit print data necessary for printing, via the wireless communication, when the establishment data is acquired, the request control being issued in accordance with the operation data as acquired.

The relationship between an object and a database item, such as a title item, family name item, address item, city name item, and birth day item are displayed with a link line which connects the object with a database item such that the relationship can be readily observed. The display color of each displayed link line is normally the same color as the background color of a connected database item or the object. Because a link relationship between an object and a database item is displayed with a display color and a link line, the linking of the image to be printed print image with the database can be readily observed.

A tape printing apparatus having a detection member which detects movement of a tape cutter to its tape cutting direction. A control system is provided for stopping tape feeding and tape printing operation when the detection member detects the movement of the tape cutter for preventing the print tape from being entangled with an internal mechanical component. Printing operation for one train of dots read from a print buffer is performed when a print key is operated and the count value of a tape feed counter is incremented by 1 dot. Such steps are repeatedly performed if no cutting operation is made by means of a cutting control button and If tape feed count value is not coincident with cut position data, and if a sequence of printing processes have not yet been completed. On the other hand, if the cutting control button is operated while a printing operation is being performed, the printing operation and tape feeding operation are stopped. If the cutting operation is completed, tape is automatically fed by a predetermined length.

A roll sheet type stored in an apparatus/medium type table, the roll sheet wound on a roll sheet holder of each of label creating apparatuses, and a medium type selected by the user are compared to each other. If both values are equal, one of the label creating apparatuses which accommodates the roll sheet holder holding the roll sheet of the medium type is set to be the label creating apparatus to which a PC sends a print request. As a result, the label creating apparatus can be automatically selected by the PC on the basis of label data created by the PC.

Operation commands, each corresponding to an input operation through an input unit, are linked together. Thereby, a single operation command string is generated from a sequence of input operations and the thus generated operation command string is recorded on a command record buffer. The recorded operation command string is converted into two dimensional bar code data and printed. The operation command string is read out from a two dimensional bar code by a bar code scanner. The operation command string thus read out is executed by a CPU etc.
