Abstract:
A method for constructing an avatar of a human subject includes acquiring a depth map of the subject, obtaining a virtual skeleton of the subject based on the depth map, and harvesting from the virtual skeleton a set of characteristic metrics. Such metrics correspond to distances between predetermined points of the virtual skeleton. In this example method, the characteristic metrics are provided as input to an algorithm trained using machine learning. The algorithm may be trained using a human model in a range of poses, and a range of human models in a single pose, to output a virtual body mesh as a function of the characteristic metrics. The method also includes constructing a virtual head mesh distinct from the virtual body mesh, with facial features resembling those of the subject, and connecting the virtual body mesh to the virtual head mesh.
Abstract:
A respiratory mask device includes a mask body that has a front gas inlet and a rear abutment end to contact a patient's face, left and right upper connectors disposed on left and right sides of the front gas inlet for connection with an upper head strap, left and right lower connectors respectively disposed beneath the left and right upper connectors, and left and right cantilever arms fixed at a top side of the mask body. The left and right cantilever arms extend downward and sideward from the top side and have bottom free ends carrying respective left and right upper connectors. With the cantilever arms, pulling forces can be dispersed uniformly on the mask body, and uncomfortable pressure experienced by a user may be eliminated.

Abstract:
A universal smart interface and peripheral management system for portable devices such as mobile phones. The smart system includes a connector interface that connects peripherals to a phone and/or personal digital assistant (PDA), through the smart system. The smart system includes a cradle for receiving a cell phone and interfacing the phone to external systems such as peripherals, networks and other systems through a USB hub and other suitable connector interfaces. The peripheral devices to which the smart system can interface include, but are not limited to, large displays (e.g., television), external monitors, input devices such as mice and keyboards, external storage devices, and networks (wired and/or wireless). The smart system also facilitates connectivity to large display systems such as TVs, computer displays and monitors.
Abstract:
An atomizer includes: an enclosed reservoir defining an inner space adapted to receive a liquid therein; a jet nozzle provided in the inner space for passage of an air jet therethrough; a jacket sleeved around the jet nozzle to define a fluid-introducing gap therebetween, the fluid-introducing gap being in fluid communication with the inner space for passage of the liquid therethrough; a mist-discharging conduit extending sealingly into and in fluid communication with the inner space and aligned with the jacket in a jet-ejecting direction; and a compressible member connected to the mist-discharging conduit and the jacket and compressible in the jet-ejecting direction. The jacket, the compressible member, and the mist-discharging conduit are an integrally formed single piece.

Abstract:
A respiratory mask includes: a mask cap defining a chamber and a through-hole in fluid communication with the chamber; and a valve unit including a hollow valve body that projects in an axial direction from a periphery of the through-hole in the mask cap and that is formed with a valve seat which defines a valve opening in the valve body. The valve unit further includes an abutting plate that is securely connected to the valve body, and a single-piece elastic block body that is formed with a shoulder abutting sealingly against the valve seat, and that has a bottom end abutting against the abutting plate. The elastic block body is elastically compressible in the axial direction so as to be deformed in the axial direction to thereby space the shoulder apart from the valve seat when pressed by an external force.
Abstract:
The subject matter described herein includes methods, systems, and computer program products for transporting ATM cells in a device having an Ethernet switching fabric. According to one method, at least one ingress ATM cell is received at an ATM network interface of a device having an Ethernet switching fabric. Next, the connection associated with which the ingress ATM cell is identified. The ATM cell is encapsulated in Ethernet frame addressed to a media processing resource associated with the connection. The Ethernet frame is forwarded to the media processing resource across an Ethernet switching fabric.
Abstract:
A full-face mask includes a gas conduit, a membrane extending around the gas conduit and connected to one end of the gas conduit, a cap wall extending around and connected to the membrane and having a face-sealing edge opposite to the membrane, and at least one head attachment strap connected to the cap wall. The membrane is stretchable outward or foldable inward when there is a change in pressure inside the cap wall, or when the gas conduit is moved relative to the cap wall.
Abstract:
An image sensor package includes plural lower metal sheets, plural upper metal sheets stacked on the lower metal sheets, and an encapsulant for encapsulating the lower and upper metal sheets. Wherein the upper metal sheets are shorter than that of the lower metal sheets, so the upper surface of the lower metal sheets are exposed from the encapsulant. A photosensitive chip arranged within the chamber, plural wires are for electrically connecting the chip to the upper surfaces of the lower metal sheets, and a transparent layer arranged on the frame layer to cover the chip.
