Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes an upper connector unit and a lower connector unit in a vertical direction. Each connector unit includes a contact module received within an insulative housing. The contact module includes an upper contact unit and a lower contacts unit stacked with each other. Each of the upper contact unit and the lower contact unit includes a front/outer contact part and a rear/inner contact part each including a plurality contacts essentially composed of a plurality of differential-pair signal contacts and a plurality of grounding contacts alternately arranged with each other in a the transverse direction wherein the differential-pair signal contacts are stamped and formed from sheet metal and successively integrally formed with a plurality of insulative transverse bars via insert-molding while the grounding contacts are directly blanked from sheet metal and associated with corresponding shielding plates assembled to the insulative transverse bar.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulative housing having a longitudinal slot and at least one row of contacts retained in the housing. Each of the contacts defines a retention portion, a resilient contacting arm extending from the retention portion with a contacting portion protruding into the longitudinal slot, and a soldering tail extending out of the housing. The contacts include at least two differential pairs adjacent to each other and at least one grounding contact sandwiched therebetween in the longitudinal direction. The contacting portions of each differential pairs are closer to the mating face than the contacting portion of the grounding contact in the mating direction, which can improve resonance of the electrical connector during transferring high-speed signals.

Abstract: A connector unit includes a contact module received within an insulative housing. The contact module includes an upper contact unit and a lower contacts unit stacked with each other. Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulative housing defining a forwardly extending mating tongue, a plurality of contacts with contacting sections exposed upon the mating tongue and a metallic shield enclosing the insulative housing to define a mating cavity. A metallic shielding plate is embedded within the mating tongue and forms a pair of locking notches in two opposite lateral sides. The mating tongue further includes in two opposite lateral sides a pair of recesses aligned with and intimately located inside of the pair of locking notches, respectively, in the transverse direction. The housing and the corresponding contacts commonly form the terminal module which is composed of an upper terminal module, a lower terminal module commonly sandwiching a shielding plate module therebetween in the vertical direction. The metallic shield optionally defines a clip structure by folding an extension on a rear lower edge thereof.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulative housing with plural passageways arranged in a hexagonal dense manner. Plural signal contacts and grounding contacts are disposed in the corresponding passageways, respectively, in a mixed manner wherein each pair of signal contacts are surrounded by eight grounding contacts. Some grounding contacts are aligned with one another along a row direction and linked together via a transverse bar, and a pair of extensions extend from the two opposite ends of the transverse bar in a column direction perpendicular to the row direction so as to have the pair of signal contacts essentially fully enclosed and shielded within a region with the boundary defined by a combination of the grounding contacts and the transverse bars.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulative housing forming plural rows of passageways wherein each row of passageways extends along a transverse direction while the plural rows are spaced from one another in a front-to-back direction perpendicular to the transverse direction. Each passageway is dimension to receive a unified contact having three sets of spring arms spaced from one another in the transverse direction. The three sets of spring arms are categorized with two outer sets and one inner set therebetween in the transverse direction. The pitch between the two neighboring sets of spring arms of each unified contact is essentially one half of the distance between one outer set of spring arms of one unified contact and another outer set of spring arms of the neighboring unified contact.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulative housing with a rear base and a mating tongue extending forwardly from the base. Two rows of contacts are retained in the housing. A metallic shielding plate is embedded within the housing and between the two rows of contacts. Each row of contacts defines positions from one to twelve in the transverse direction wherein positions 2&3 and 10&11 are designated for high frequency signal transmission. In the shielding plate the space between corresponding positions 4 and 6, and that between corresponding positions 7 and 9, are of a complete or enlarged hole being essentially fully empty along the front-to-back direction for achieving the high frequency transmission without undesired crosstalk among the corresponding contacts.
