    Abstract: An electrical receptacle connector includes an insulative housing forming a pair of receiving slots, two pairs of contacts are retained in the housing and located by two sides of the corresponding receiving slots, respectively. Each contact has a frame having four sides with a pair of first spring arms extending from two opposite sides toward each other and extending into the receiving slot with the corresponding contact points at different levels. A second spring arm extends from another side into the receiving slot. A deflection direction of the first spring arms is perpendicular to that of the second spring arm, and the first spring arms contact one side of the blade type contact of the plug connector and the second spring arm contacts another side of the blade type contact of the plug connector.

    Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes a receptacle connector and a plug connector mateable with each other. Each of the receptacle connector and the plug connector defines a first mating face and a second mating face perpendicular to each other in response to mating along the front-to-back direction and the vertical direction. Each of the receptacle connector and the plug connector includes a plurality of contacts composed of a plurality of first contacts and a plurality of contact units alternately arranged with each other along the transverse direction perpendicular to both the front-to-back direction and the vertical direction. Each contact unit includes a second contact and a third contact wherein the second contact is closer to the second mating face than the third contact is while the third contact is closer to the first mating face than the second contact is.

    Abstract: A card edge connector includes a longitudinal insulative housing, a number of terminals retained in the insulative housing, a pair of transparent members mounted to the insulative housing, and a metallic shell surrounding around the insulative housing. The insulative housing has two side walls extending along a longitudinal direction, two end walls connecting between the longitudinal ends of the two side walls and a center slot defined therebetween. The metallic shell includes two covering portions respectively located above the two side walls in a vertical direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. Each of the covering portions has a number of through-holes arranged above the transparent members to leak out the light transferred therefrom.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of passageways, a plurality of blade type contacts retained to the retaining grooves in the corresponding passageways, a spacer located in a rear receiving space of the housing with corresponding slits through which tails of the contacts rearwardly extend, and a plurality of wires having the inner conductors soldered upon the tails of the contacts behind the spacer. A waterproof glue plate fills the receiving space of the housing to enclose the exposed inner conductors and the corresponding tails. A plurality of passages are formed in one side of the peripheral wall, through which the wires extend in a vertical direction perpendicular to the horizontal direction along which the contacts extend. The spacer forms a recess to receive a protrusion of the glue plate, and the protrusion is located adjacent to the passages for assuring sealing around said passages.

    Abstract: The electrical connector includes an insulative housing having a columnar section and an annular groove surrounding the columnar section. The column section includes a mating face and a plurality of power contact passageways and a plurality of signal contact passageways extending through the mating face wherein the signal contacts and the power contacts are commonly arranged with a cross configuration area to have the signal contacts located by opposite upper and lower sides of the power contacts. Both the power contacts and the signal contacts of the plug connector are of a blade type while both the power contacts and the signal contacts of the receptacle connector are of a clamp type wherein each signal contact has one clamping structure while each power contact has a pair of clamping structures side by side arranged with each other.
