Abstract: An electrical connector assembly comprising a first connector and a second connector mated with each other. The first connector includes a first shell forming a first mating surface thereon. A retractable first contact has a first contacting section moveable between an outer position coplanar with the first mating surface and an inner position recessed from the first mating surface. The second connector includes a second shell forming a second mating surface thereon. A stationary second contact has a second contacting section protruding beyond the second mating surface. During mating, the second contacting section abuts against the first contacting section in the mating direction and protrudes beyond the first mating surface to be snugly received within the first connector.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulative rectangular housing with a planar base defining opposite upper surface and lower surface thereon. Four restriction parts are formed at four corners of the base to cooperate with the base for commonly forming a receiving cavity to receive the electronic package therein. A plurality of first contacts are disposed in the base with corresponding contacting sections upwardly extending into the receiving cavity to upwardly abut against the corresponding pads on the undersurface of the electronic package. A plurality of second contacts are disposed in the base with corresponding contacting sections sidewardly extending into the receiving cavity to sidewardly abut against the corresponding pads on the side faces of the electronic package.

Abstract: A connector assembly includes a first connector and a second connector mating with the first connector. The first connector defines a first mating face, a first cleaning device disposed in the first mating face and a stiff first mating portion exposed upon the first mating face. The second connector defines a second mating face, a second cleaning device disposed in the second mating face and a stiff second mating portion exposed upon the second mating face. During mating the first connector to the second connector along the mating direction, the first cleaning device wipes the second mating face for wiping away the dirty attached to the second mating portion while the second cleaning device wipes the first mating face for wiping away the dirty attached to the first mating portion until the first and second mating portions mated with each other.
