Abstract: A plug connector includes a connector body defining a rear cable supporting platform with opposite first and second surfaces, a plurality of terminals and a cable. The terminal includes a pair of USB 2.0 signal soldering legs, a grounding and power soldering legs exposed to the first surface of the supporting platform and a detecting soldering leg, an additional power and grounding soldering legs exposed to the second surface. Wires of the cable consist of a pair of USB 2.0 signal wires, a power wire, a grounding wire welded with corresponding soldering legs on the first surface. The second surface of the supporting platform is further located with a SMT type resistor with a first leg and a second leg, the first leg is connected with the detecting soldering leg, the second leg is connected with the additional power soldering leg or the additional grounding soldering leg.

Abstract: An electrical connector mounted on a PCB includes: an housing comprising a base, a mating tongue and a mounting portion, each surface of the mating tongue defining twelve terminal positions (P1) through (P12); two rows of terminals, each terminal including a mating portion, a leg portion and a middle portion connecting with the mating portion and the leg portion, each leg portion defining a soldering pad. Each row of terminals include grounding terminals in terminal positions (P1, P12) power terminals in terminal positions (P4, P9), and there are no terminals set in terminal positions (P2, P3, P10, P11). The soldering pads of the two rows of terminals are arranged in one row and at least two grounding terminals or two power terminals aligned with each other in a vertical direction are located side by side so as to share a same pad defined on the PCB.

Abstract: An electrical connector comprising a first terminal assembly and a second terminal assembly which are formed on a same metal material. The first and the second terminal assemblies respectively comprise a plurality of first and second conductive terminals. The plurality of first and second conductive terminals respectively connect with each other by a first contact carrier and a second contact carrier which are connected by a third contact carrier formed on the metal material. Bending the third contact carrier at 180 degrees such that the first and the second terminal assemblies are arranged in parallel and up-and-down to each other. Providing an insulating material injecting molding on the first and the second terminal assemblies to form an insulating housing. Cutting and dislodging the first, the second and the third contact carriers to forming the electrical connector. The electrical connector is simple in manufacture and low in production cost.

Abstract: A plug connector includes a front housing, a first and a second terminal module each including an insulator insert molded with terminals. The front housing defines a rear wall, a front mating cavity opening forwards, and a plurality of terminal passageways running through the rear wall in a front and rear direction and the front housing in a vertical direction a first terminal module, The terminals comprising contacting portions received in the corresponding terminal passageways. The shell fitly encloses the front housing and the insulators. The front housing unitarily defines a plurality of protection flanges, each protection flange is located above a front end of each terminal passageway and each contacting section is located inside the protection flange thereby ensuring the contacting sections separating from the shell during the contacting sections are pushed outwards by an insertion of a mating receptacle connector.

The contacting piece unitarily includes a contacting portion located at the upper inside of the mating cavity and an upper connecting portion, and the soldering piece unitarily includes a soldering leg exposed upon the lower loading face of the cable-loading portion and a lower connecting portion extending forward from the soldering leg. The upper connecting portion and the lower connecting portion electrically connect to each other so as to establish an electrical connection of the special terminal.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes a terminal module including a base, a mating tongue, a row of first terminals, a row of second terminals and a shielding plate. Terminals comprise contacting portions, middle portions and leg portions. Each row of terminals comprises three pairs of differential signal terminals, and grounding terminals and power terminals. The shielding plate defines a first row of openings corresponding to the contacting portions, a second row of openings and third row of openings both corresponding to the middle portion. The first row of openings are aligned with the contacting portions of the first and second terminals in a vertical direction and the second row of openings are at least aligned with gaps between every two adjacent terminals while the shielding plate defines no opening corresponding to the middle portions of the three pair of differential signal terminals so as improve shielding performance.
