Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to pairing of electronic devices. An example computer-implemented method includes detecting, by an interactive object, user input with the interactive object. The method further includes generating, by the interactive object in response to detecting the user input, a pairing communication for a user device. The pairing communication can include an interactive object identifier and data indicative of a pairing output signal that is emittable by the interactive object. The method further includes providing, by the interactive object, the pairing communication to the user device. The method further includes generating, by the interactive object, the pairing output signal via one or more output devices. The pairing output signal includes at least one of a visual signal or an audio signal of the interactive object. The user device and the interactive object can be paired based at least in part on the pairing output signal.

Abstract: A low-power object tracking system is disclosed that includes an object tracking device that senses one or more magnetic field(s) to determine a position of the object tracking device. The object tracking device includes a magnetic field sensor including one or more receiving coils and position tracking circuitry in communication with the magnetic field sensor. The position tracking circuitry is configured to determine at least one field strength associated with at least one stationary magnetic field sensed at the one or more receiving coils, and to determine position information associated with the housing based at least in part on the at least one field strength. The object tracking device includes a communication interface configured to transmit the position information to at least one remote computing device.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to selective gesture recognition for handheld device gestures. An example method includes receiving, by a handheld interactive object, movement information descriptive of a gesture performed with the handheld interactive object. The method includes selecting a local and/or remote machine-learned model for processing the movement information. The movement information can be processed to identify a gesture action corresponding to the movement information. The local and/or remote machine-learned model can be selected based on user input data and/or a complexity of the movement information. In response to selecting the local machine-learned model, the method includes processing the movement information according to the local machine-learned model and communicating a message to a remote device based on the result. In response to selecting the remote ma-chine-learned model, the method includes communicating the movement information to the remote device for processing in accordance with the remote machine-learned model.
