    Abstract: The invention proposes a system for gravimetrically combining individual bulk material components in one or a plurality of transport container(s). The system comprises a plurality of storage containers for storing the bulk material components equipped with one dosing unit each in order to transfer a respective bulk material component into the transport container. Each of the storage containers is associated with a weighing means disposed below each storage container. The transport containers can be moved between the dosing units of the supply containers along a guidance and cooperate with the weighing means. In accordance with the invention, the guidance has several guiding segments that are disposed behind one another in the guiding direction and on which the transport container is guided, and at least the guiding segments disposed below the dosing units of the supply containers are formed by weighing/guiding segments which are mechanically decoupled from the other guiding segments or weighing/guiding segments such that the transport container is in its respective dosing position on the weighing/guiding segments for detecting its weight.

    Abstract: A catalytic converter housing arrangement includes inlet and outlet funnels having large diameter ends mounted by connection bevels at the ends of a wound metal sheet forming a tubular central part of the catalytic converter and welded to the bevels. The funnels are produced from tubular blanks by expanding one end and drawing in the other end.     Abstract: An electrochemical actuator forms a sealed gas space inside of which there are a plurality of cells. Each cell has a solid electrode made from an electrochemically reversibly oxidizable material and a counter electrode. By applying a reversible direct current, an electrochemical reaction is initiated which results in a pressure increase or decrease in the gas space that can be used for generating movement. The manufacture of the actuator is simplified and manufacturing costs are lowered by providing a stackable spacer frame for each cell which is constructed of a material that is a relatively good heat conductor and an electric isolator. The rim of a metallic cell cup is attached to the spacer frame and a matrix soaked with an electrolyte is placed inside the cup. Each cell further has a solid electrode, a separator and a counter electrode which, together with the spacer frame, are assembled into a cell. When the cells are stacked, the counter electrode of each cell is placed against the cell cup of the adjoining cell.

    Abstract: An apparatus for extruding plastic materials, particularly plastic explosives or propellants, has a casing, at least one pressing member moving therein, e.g. a rotating extruder screw and a shaping retainer plate terminating the casing at the outlet side, which is fixed to the casing and can be raised therefrom if an excessive overpressure occurs. So as to ensure rapid raising and a rapid release of the overpressure when a safety hazard occurs, the retainer plate is fixed to the casing by a mechanical or a gas pressure spring, whose spring tension is adjustable. It is also possible to provide a hydraulic pressure directed in opposition to the spring and by which the retainer plate can be raised in random manner from the casing.
