Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to inkjet inks and related methods. The inkjet ink includes water, from 5 wt % to 50 wt % of an organic solvent system, from 2 wt % to 9 wt % pigment solids, from 0.1 wt % to 3 wt % polyurethane binder, and from 0.4 wt % to 1.5 wt % of an oleyl or stearyl type polyoxyethylene glycol ether surfactant.

Abstract: In an example of recording medium identification method, a digital image of a line or a dot printed on a recording medium with a printer is captured by an image sensor. From the digital image, a microprocessor (operatively connected to the image sensor), digitally measures a width of the line, a diameter of the dot, an area of the dot, or a perimeter of the dot. The microprocessor identifies a type of the recording medium based on the width, the diameter, the area, or the perimeter. In response to the identification of the type of the recording medium, a print setting for the type of the recording medium is selected.

Abstract: An example of an ink supply includes an ink chamber containing a liquid ink, a salt chamber containing a salt solution, a separator positioned between the liquid ink and the salt solution, and a release mechanism. The separator completely separates the liquid ink from the salt solution prior to the release mechanism being triggered. The release mechanism has a triggered position and a retracted position. The triggered position causes the separator to at least partially open, and enables the liquid ink and the salt solution to be combined to form a mixture.

Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to an ink composition including an aqueous liquid vehicle, from 2 wt % to 7 wt % self-dispersed pigment dispersed in the aqueous liquid vehicle, and from 0.5 wt % to 5 wt % acidic polymeric binder particles having an acid number from 30 to 200 and a particle size from 1 nm to 100 nm dispersed in the aqueous liquid vehicle. The ink composition can also include from 0.1 wt % to 0.75 wt % monovalent salt solubilized in the aqueous liquid vehicle. The self-dispersed pigment to monovalent salt weight ratio in the ink composition can be from 3:1 to 50:1, for example.

Abstract: An ink is disclosed. The ink composition includes an ink vehicle, a colorant, and a fluorosurfactant, wherein the fluorosurfactant is a polymer having the general formula: wherein p is any integer, q is any integer, Z1 and Z2 are each fluorine or any functional group, and R1, R2, R3 are each fluorine, any alkyl group, or any functional group, and wherein R1, R2, R3, Z1, and Z2 are not all fluorine and the fluorosurfactant lowers the surface tension of the ink vehicle.
