Abstract: Techniques are disclosed to increase the safety of vehicles travelling in a vehicle platoon. These techniques include the utilization of a comprehensive safety framework such as a safety driving model (SDM) for the platoon control systems. In contrast to the conventional approaches, the use of the SDM model allows for platoon vehicle control systems to consider the acceleration/deceleration capabilities of the vehicles to calculate minimum safe longitudinal distances between the platoon vehicles. The disclosed techniques may utilize the periodicity of platoon messages as well as other parameters to improve upon platoon vehicle control and safety.

Abstract: A resource management framework may be used to improve performance of dominant and non-dominant resources for edge multi-tenant applications. The resource management framework may include an admission control mechanism, which may be used to balance disproportionate resource allocations by controlling allocation of unconstrained resources proportional to the requested dominant resources based on resource availability. The admission control mechanism may provide ongoing monitoring of dominant and non-dominant resource utilization, such as using a hybrid centralized-distributed telemetry collection approach. The resource management framework may also include a lightweight resource monitoring and policy enforcement mechanism on distributed networking elements to reduce or eliminate the exploitations of non-dominant resources.

Abstract: The present disclosure is related to connected vehicles, computer-assisted and/or autonomous driving vehicles, Internet of Vehicles (IoV), Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technologies, and in particular, to enhanced decentralized environment notification (DEN) services and safety metrics based pre-crash warning for DEN messages (DENMs). The enhanced DEN services include mechanisms to alert road users of detected dangerous events due to safety metric violations, which are calculated based on sensor data/measurements. Safety metric-specific attributes are included in the DENM á la-carte container to carry the safety metrics violation to the neighboring stations. Additionally, the DENM situation container is also enhanced/expanded such that event type values can incorporate the safety metric violations and/or related events. For each metric, there is a threshold for triggering a DENM warning message, and the triggering conditions and logic for message generation are also described.

The disclosure describe techniques for utilizing DT resources for V2X environments using both virtual and physical “twin” resources to achieve improved resiliency. Moreover, to optimize redundancy costs, the ratio of virtual DT nodes to physical DT nodes may be asymmetrical. An asymmetric approach to DT redundancies involving both virtual and physical resources enables greater flexibility in managing deployment costs.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed to manage a self-adaptive heterogeneous emergency network. An example apparatus to establish recovery nodes includes failure detection circuitry to determine a node initiated a reset procedure, override circuitry to suppress a native recovery procedure of the node, formation circuitry to initiate a heterogeneous recovery procedure, and trust circuitry to measure a root of trust of the node. Abstract: Bayesian Inference based communication receiver employs Markov-Chain Monte-Carlo (MCMC) sampling for performing several of the main receiver functionalities. The channel estimator estimates the multipath channel coefficients corresponding to a signal received with fading. The symbol demodulator demodulates the received signal according to a QAM constellation, so as to generate a demodulated signal, and estimate the transmitted symbols. The decoder reliably decodes the demodulated signals to generate an output bit sequence, factoring in redundancy induced at a certain code rate. A universal sampler may be configured to use MCMC sampling for generating estimates of channel coefficients, transmitted symbols or decoder bits, for aforementioned functionalities, respectively. The samples may then be used in one or more of the receiver tasks: channel estimation, signal demodulation, and decoding, which leads to a more scalable, reusable, power/area efficient receiver.

An example method includes accessing operational statistics corresponding to one or more physical entities, the one or more physical entities including user equipment and network equipment; updating one or more virtual entities within a virtual environment that correspond, respectively, to the one or more physical entities with the operational statistics; simulating a change to the virtual environment based on the operational statistics; generating a recommendation for the network equipment to perform a task based on the simulated change; and in response to determining a confidence of the recommendation meets a threshold confidence, provide the recommendation to the network equipment.

Abstract: In wireless communication networks in which pairs of STAs establish direct point-to-point links with each other, RTS-CTS training may be used to make sure that they don't interfere with other such pairs that communicate simultaneously during contention based access periods (CBAP). In some embodiments, two different types of CBAP are described for this. The PCP/AP may separately designate each type of CBAP for those devices using RTS-CTS training and those not using such training.
