Abstract: Technologies for managing interoperable high definition (HD) maps for autonomous vehicles includes a HD map server to distribute interoperable HD map tiles to various autonomous vehicles, each of which may be configured to utilize proprietary HD map tiles of different propriety formats. As such, each of the autonomous vehicles is configured to translate the interoperable HD map tile to the proprietary format used by that particular vehicle. Additionally, each autonomous vehicle may submit crowd-sourced sensor data to the interoperable HD map server using a universal data set by converting the sensor data to a universal data structure.

Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatuses may provide for technology that conducts an automated vision analysis of image data associated with an interior of a vehicle cabin, determines a state of a child restraint system (CRS) based on the automated vision analysis, and generates an alert if the state of the CRS does not satisfy one or more safety constraints. In one example, the technology identifies the safety constraint(s) based on a geographic location of the vehicle cabin.

Abstract: System and techniques for enhanced electronic navigation maps for a vehicle are described herein. A set of map tiles may be received at a vehicle component from a remote entity. Sensor derived data that has a locality corresponding to a map tile in the set of map tiles may be obtained. A field-programmable gate array of the vehicle may then be invoked to combine the sensor derived data and the map tile to create a modified map tile. The modified map tile may be communicated to a control system of the vehicle.

Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods to deploy safety equipment from a drone are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a sensor to gather environmental data and an analyzer in communication with the sensor. In this example, the analyzer is to identify an anchor site based on the environmental data and produce an assessment of stability of the anchor site based on the environmental data and model data. The example apparatus also includes one or more actuators to deploy a securing device in response to the assessment of the analyzer indicating the anchor site is stable and to deploy the safety equipment.

Abstract: Technologies for autonomous vehicle driving quality of service (QoS) determination and communication include an advanced vehicle with a vehicle computing device. The computing device determines multiple route segments of one or more routes to a destination. The computing device determines, for each route segment, one or more autonomous driving factors that are each indicative of an autonomy level achievable by the advanced vehicle for the associated route segment. Factors may include map availability, weather conditions, road conditions, or other factors. The computing device determines, for each route segment, an autonomous QoS score based on the autonomous driving factors. The computing device may rank multiple routes to the destination based on the autonomous QoS scores associated with the route segments of those routes. The computing device may display a proposed route to a user of the advanced vehicle and receive a selection from the user. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
