Abstract:
A tool includes a chuck connected to a handle. The chuck includes a mandrel including a non-circular cavity defined therein, a slit in communication with the non-circular cavity, a first bore in communication with the non-circular cavity, and a second bore in communication with the slit. A bit with a non-circular profile can be inserted in the non-circular cavity. A flat bit can be inserted in the slit. A ball is located in the first bore. A pin is located in the second bore. A movable sleeve is located around and movable along the mandrel and formed with a thread. A rotary sleeve is rotationally located around the mandrel and formed with a thread engaged with the thread of the movable sleeve. By rotating the rotary sleeve, the movable sleeve pushes the ball into the non-circular cavity and the pin into the slit.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a chuck including a body, at least one ball and a helical spring. The body includes an axial space defined therein and at least one radial bore with a small open end near the axial space and a large open end in an external side thereof. The ball includes a first section movably placed in the radial bore, a second section movable into the axial space, and a third section movably placed outside the radial bore. The helical spring is placed around the body and in contact with the third section of the ball for biasing the second section of the ball into a recess defined in a bit inserted in the axial space.
Abstract:
Compounds are described that are active on PPARs, including pan-active compounds. Also described are methods for developing or identifying compounds having a desired selectivity profile.
Abstract:
A toolbox includes a shell, a holder and a cover. The shell includes two grooves defined therein and two inclined faces formed thereon near the grooves. The holder is disposed in the shell and formed with a plurality of holes for receiving bits. The cover includes two lugs extended from a side thereof and two blocks each formed on a related one of the lugs and formed with an inclined face. The blocks are movably disposed in the grooves so that the cover can be moved relative to the shell. When the cover is moved away from the shell, the cover can be pivoted relative to the shell so that the inclined faces of the blocks are located against the inclined faces of the shell, thus limiting the pivoting of the cover relative to the shell.

Abstract:
A screwdriver includes a handle, a fixing member mounted in the handle, a release member slidably mounted on and axially movable relative to the fixing member, and a tool shank locked on the release member and detachable from the release member by movement of the release member relative to the fixing member. Thus, the tool shank is supported by the fixing member and the release member which are supported by the handle to enhance the strength of the screwdriver so that the screwdriver is not easily broken or worn out, thereby enhancing the lifetime of the screwdriver. In addition, the tool shank is mounted on and detached from the fixing member and the handle by pressing the release member, thereby facilitating the user mounting and replacing the tool shank.

Abstract:
A table light combined with a sound-playing device includes a table light body and a sound-playing device (such as speakers) freely pivoted on a horizontal plane via pivotal shafts. Both ends of the table light base are transversely pivoted to a pair of speakers. A flexible supporting pipe extends from the pivoting portion with the distal end thereof connected to a fixing seat of the sound-playing device. The electronic lines and sound lines of the speakers are buried within the supporting pipe. The sound lines extend to the fixing seat and are electrically connected to the sound-playing device (such as MP3 player).
Abstract:
Compounds are described that are active on at least one of PPARα, PPARδ, and PPARγ, which are useful for therapeutic and/or prophylactic methods involving modulation of at least one of PPARα, PPARδ, and PPARγ.
