    Abstract: An organic EL display device includes at least one light emitting unit that includes a first electrode, an organic film that includes a light emitting layer and is provided over the first electrode, and a second electrode that is provided over the organic film and transmits light from the light emitting layer, and an optical adjusting layer that covers the at least one light emitting unit. The optical adjusting layer in a first area that overlaps the at least one light emitting unit in a planar view and the optical adjusting layer in at least one second area that is adjacent to the first area are different from each other in at least one of a number of layers that the optical adjusting layer includes, a film thickness, and a refractive index.

    Abstract: Provided is a display device having a first pixel and a second pixel adjacent to the first pixel. The first pixel includes a first pixel electrode, a first EL layer over the first pixel electrode, and a second electrode over the first EL layer. The second pixel includes a second pixel electrode, a second EL layer over the second pixel electrode, and the second electrode over the second EL layer. The display device further possesses a first cap layer over the second electrode, a second cap layer over the first cap layer and overlapping with the first EL layer, and a third cap layer covering the second cap layer, overlapping with the first EL layer and the second EL layer, and in contact with the first cap layer in a region overlapping with the second EL layer.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a display device including: a substrate; and a first light-emitting element and a second light-emitting element over the substrate and adjacent to each other. The first light-emitting element and the second light-emitting element each possess a first electrode, an EL layer over the first electrode, a second electrode over the EL layer, and an optical adjustment layer over the second electrode. The optical adjustment layer over the first light-emitting element is different in refraction index from the optical adjustment layer over the second light-emitting element. A first material included in the optical adjustment layer may be the same in composition but different in chemical structure between before and after the light irradiation. Alternatively, the first material may be the same in composition but different in phase structure between before and after the light irradiation.
