    Abstract: A display device includes a display unit, a display control unit, a reception unit, and a processing unit. The display control unit generates a synthesized icon when allocated areas of at least two of a plurality of icons displayed in the display unit overlap. The processing unit executes, when the reception unit receives a slide operation starting from a point in a region of the synthesized icon where the icons overlap, a function associated with the icon displayed at an end point of the slide operation, out of the functions respectively associated with the icons superposed in the region.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display section, a display control section, a touch panel, a gesture acceptance section, and a processing section. The display control section allows a screen of the display section to display an icon within which a plurality of regions are provided. The gesture acceptance section determines, upon acceptance of a user's gesture on an icon, on which of the regions within the icon the user's gesture has been performed. When the gesture acceptance section accepts the user's gesture on the icon, the processing section executes processing that is related to a function associated with the icon and corresponds to the region on which the gesture has been performed.

    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, a display unit, an operation unit, and a controller. The controller causes, before printing an image, the display unit to reduce and display, with respect to each of setting items for printing, images to each of which a processing indicated by one of the setting items is applied. When a user designates one of the images to which the processing indicated by one of the setting items is applied, the controller accepts an instruction to print the image, reflecting the processing indicated by the setting item corresponding to a designated image, and causes the display unit to reduce and display the images to each of which the processing indicated by a remaining setting item not designated by the user, and the processing indicated by the designated setting item corresponding to the designated image, are applied, with respect to remaining setting items.
