    Abstract: A detector that detects an alarm and/or fault condition with respect to a pressure of a medium is provided. The detector comprises a housing comprising an access tube configured to receive a medium and a bellows fixed to the housing comprising a cavity and a first contact surface. The detector also comprises an adjustment screw positioned within the cavity of the bellows, coupled to the housing via an insulation member, and comprising a second contact surface. The detector is further configured to detect a change in pressure of the medium based on whether the first contact surface and the first contact surface are in electrical communication.

    Abstract: A pneumatic pressure detector for a fire alarm system includes a housing having an internal surface defining an interior volume. Also included is an alarm switch located within the interior volume of the housing and comprising a first deformable diaphragm responsive to an increase in pressure of a gas disposed in a sensor tube to indicate an overheat condition. Further included is an integrity switch located within the interior volume and comprising a second deformable diaphragm disposed in contact with an electrical contact during pressurization of the gas within a predetermined pressure range and in an electrically open condition when the pressure of the gas is less than the predetermined range. Yet further included is a mica sleeve located within the interior volume of the housing and disposed along at least a portion of the internal surface of the housing to insulate the alarm switch and the integrity switch.

    Abstract: According to one aspect, a fire extinguisher actuator assembly for a fire extinguisher is provided. The fire extinguisher includes a fire extinguisher reservoir and a burst disc that forms a discharge barrier between the fire extinguisher reservoir and a discharge head to retain a pressurized fire extinguishing agent within the fire extinguisher reservoir. The fire extinguisher actuator assembly includes a cutter shuttle assembly having a cutter coupled to a shuttle body. The cutter shuttle assembly is detained within the fire extinguisher proximate the burst disc and biased to form a pressure equalization region between the shuttle body and the burst disc. The fire extinguisher actuator assembly also includes an activation device having a piercing member operable to pierce the burst disc and release pressure from the pressure equalization region, thereby driving the cutter through the burst disc to release the pressurized fire extinguishing agent through the discharge head.
