Abstract:
A cordset assembly that may have an electrical device and at least one cord. A clamp may be disposed on the cord and may be received in a cord hole that may be at least partially defined by a mounting boss. A seal assembly may be disposed in the cord hole between the clamp and a cap. The cap, seal assembly, and clamp may cooperate to secure the cord.
Abstract:
A female electric terminal assembly includes a body, a first beam extending from the body, and a second beam extending from the body. A channel is defined between the first beam and the second beam. A clamp is attached to the body and applies a force to bias the first beam and the second beam into the channel. A gap is maintained between the first beam and the second beam.
Abstract:
A receptacle assembly for a vehicle charging inlet is provided having a base with apertures formed through, an external receptacle extending from the base in a first direction for receiving a charging cable connector, and an internal receptacle extending from the base in a second direction, opposite the first direction, for receiving a plurality of wires from a wire harness. The internal receptacle defines an internal cavity having at least one terminal receptacle formed about one of the apertures and at least one fuse receptacle. The internal receptacle includes wire channels for routing a wire having an inline fuse from the terminal receptacle to the fuse receptacle and from the fuse receptacle to a wire outlet. The inline fuse is received by the fuse receptacle.
Abstract:
An electric connector includes an outer housing and an inner housing located within the outer housing. A connector terminal is located within the inner housing. A primary lock retains the connector terminal within the inner housing, and a secondary lock also retains the connector terminal within the inner housing.
Abstract:
An electrical terminal assembly includes a connector body having a passageway formed therein and an electrical terminal. The electrical terminal includes a contact portion having a contact arm and a spring arrangement having a spring arm engaged with the contact arm. The electrical terminal assembly further includes a one way installation feature preventing the electrical terminal from being inserted into the passageway in an incorrect orientation.
Abstract:
A plug assembly for connection with a socket assembly having an electrical pin. The plug assembly includes a housing defining a cavity. The housing includes an aperture formed therein for receiving the pin. An electrical terminal is housed in the cavity of the housing. The terminal is adapted to engage with the pin. A seal is supported in the housing and is adapted to sealingly engage with the pin for sealing the cavity from an outside environment.
Abstract:
An electromagnetic shield termination assembly includes a wire assembly having an electrically conductive wire. An electromagnetic shield extends coaxially with the electrically conductive wire and covers at least a portion of a circumference of the electrically conductive wire, the electromagnetic shield and the electrically conductive wire covered thereby defining a shielded portion of the wire assembly. A non-shielded portion of the wire assembly extends outward of a terminal end of the electromagnetic shield. A termination device has an electrically conductive housing mounted to the wire assembly about the terminal end of the electromagnetic shield such that a portion of the housing engages a portion of the electromagnetic shield, and wherein the housing provides a flow path for an electrical current flowing in the electromagnetic shield.
Abstract:
A spring and damper system for a circuit board includes a spring arrangement having a plurality of compression springs. Each of the compression springs has a contact portion and two ends which are disposed away from their respective contact portion. Each of a plurality of dampers is disposed on a respective one of the ends of the compression springs and configured to contact a portion of the circuit board.
Abstract:
A connector assembly includes an inlet assembly and a plug assembly. The inlet assembly has a first electrical contact member. A plug assembly has a second electrical contact member. The plug assembly is movable to an inserted engaged position with the inlet assembly such that the first and second electrical contact members engage one another, and a retracted position such the plug assembly is retracted from the inlet assembly. The connector assembly includes an active locking device for retaining the plug assembly in the inlet assembly. A secondary locking device temporarily retains the plug assembly in the inlet assembly prior to activation of the active locking device.
Abstract:
An electrical terminal assembly includes a base and a spring member. The base defines an axis and includes a plurality of base beams deflectable toward the axis. The spring member has a main portion that is disposed over the base, and a plurality of spring beams that extend from the main portion. The spring beams bias the base beams toward the axis. The main portion of the spring member is made from a folded blank having a first edge that is permanently secured to a second edge such that the edges cannot be pulled apart from one another.
