Abstract: A multi-sensor imaging system includes a processing unit and a plurality of image sensors coupled to the processing unit. The processing unit is used to generate a plurality of control signals. Each of the plurality of image sensors is used to capture a frame image according to a corresponding readout time. Each control signal is for adjusting the corresponding readout time of the each image sensor. This arrangement allows the processing unit to leverage precise control over the timing of image capture across all sensors in the system, enabling sophisticated synchronization and timing adjustments as needed for various imaging applications.

Abstract: An image signal amplifying circuit comprising an amplifier and a gain control circuit. The amplifier respectively amplifies a first image signal and a second image signal, which are generated by a pixel array of an image sensor, by a first analog gain and a second analog gain, wherein each one of pixel circuits of the pixel array comprises a first capacitor for generating the first image signal and a second capacitor for generating the second image signal, wherein a charge storage capacity of the first capacitor is smaller than a charge storage capacity of the second capacitor. The gain control circuit selectively adjusts the first analog gain or the second analog gain. Each one of the pixel circuits has a first conversion gain corresponding to the first capacitor and a second conversion gain corresponding to the second capacitor.

Abstract: A projection-based frame is generated according to an omnidirectional video frame and a triangle-based projection layout. The projection-based frame has a 360-degree image content represented by triangular projection faces assembled in the triangle-based projection layout. A 360-degree image content of a viewing sphere is mapped onto the triangular projection faces via a triangle-based projection of the viewing sphere. One side of a first triangular projection face has contact with one side of a second triangular projection face, one side of a third triangular projection face has contact with another side of the second triangular projection face. One image content continuity boundary exists between one side of the first triangular projection face and one side of the second triangular projection face, and another image content continuity boundary exists between one side of the third triangular projection face and another side of the second triangular projection face.

Abstract: A buffer write method for a buffer, including a plurality of M-bit storage units, has following steps: obtaining pixel data of a plurality of first N-bit pixels of a picture; calculating a corresponding start address of the buffer for the pixel data of the first N-bit pixels; and storing the first N-bit pixels of the picture according to the calculated start address of the buffer in the M-bit storage units by a buffer controller. The storing step includes fully storing at least one of the first N-bit pixels in one of the M-bit storage units storage units, wherein M and N are positive integers, and M is not divisible by N.

At least one of the M-bit storage units is filled with part of the obtained pixel data of the first N-bit pixels, M and N are positive integers, M is not divisible by N, and the first N-bit pixels include at least one pixel divided into a first part stored in one of the M-bit storage units in the first buffer and a second part stored in another of the M-bit storage units in the first buffer.
