Abstract: The invention is directed to a fuel composition for diesel engines. The fuel composition comprises 0.1-99% by weight of a component or a mixture of components produced from biological raw material originating from plants and/or animals and/or fish. The fuel composition comprises 0-20% of components containing oxygen. Both components are mixed with diesel components based on crude oil and/or fractions from Fischer-Tropsch process.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods for processing liquefied waste polymers (LWP) containing diolefins. The LWP feed is supplied to steam stripper A to provide a distillate containing diolefins and naphtha, and a distillate bottom. The distillate is subjected to hydrotreatment B to produce a diolefin depleted distillate which is separated by distillation C to give rise to one or more fractions comprising at least a naphtha fraction, an optional middle fraction and a bottom fraction. Hydroprocessing D of the naphtha fraction gives rise to hydrogenated naphtha which is suitable as a feed for a steam cracker E. Since the distillation bottom, bottom fraction and the middle distillate are predominantly free from diolefins, they can be mixed with crude oil and processed further in oil refinery.

Abstract: A method is disclosed of purifying a recycled or renewable organic material, wherein the recycled or renewable organic material includes more than 1 ppm silicon as silicon compounds. Exemplary steps include (a) providing the recycled or renewable organic material; (b) heat treating the recycled or renewable organic material to form a heat treated recycled or renewable organic material, wherein the at least part of silicon compounds present in the recycled or renewable organic material are converted to volatile silicon compounds, and (c) evaporating volatile silicon compounds from the heat treated recycled or renewable organic material to obtain recycled or renewable organic material fraction containing less silicon than the recycled or renewable organic material provided in step (a).
