Abstract: An optical fingerprint sensing module includes an image sensing device, a light source and a light shielding structure. The image sensing device is configured to sense light transmitted from a fingerprint of a finger on a display panel. The image sensing device includes a light sensing plane having a first geometric center. The light source includes a light emitting plane having a second geometric center. The first geometric center is separated from the second geometric center by a distance from 2 mm to 20 mm. The light shielding structure is disposed between the image sensing device and the light source. In examples, the optical fingerprint sensing module further includes a field angle controller to constrain light pass there through with a field angle of 5-60 degrees. A display device including an optical fingerprint sensing module is disclosed herein as well.

Abstract: A fingerprint sensing device that includes an analog-front-end (AFE) circuit, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a correction circuit is introduced. The AFE circuit generates an image signal, and the ADC converts the image signal to an output digital code. The correction circuit receives a plurality of first output digital codes that are generated by performing a plurality of first fingerprint sensing operations in a plurality of first exposure time periods. The correction circuit is further configured to calculate a second exposure time period for a second fingerprint sensing operation according to the first output digital codes and the first exposure time periods, wherein the fingerprint sensing device performs the second fingerprint operation in the second exposure time period to generate a second output digital code.

Abstract: A signal processing circuit for processing a sensing signal from a sensing circuit includes a plurality of input capacitors, an amplifier, an input switch group, a plurality of storage capacitors and a plurality of storage control switches. The plurality of input capacitors are configured to receive the sensing signal from one of a differential input nodes of the signal processing circuit and couple the sensing signal to a plurality of floating nodes. The amplifier, coupled to the plurality of floating nodes, is configured to amplify the sensing signal coupled from the plurality of floating nodes. The input switch group is coupled between the plurality of floating nodes and the plurality of input capacitors. The plurality of storage control switches, coupled between the plurality of floating nodes and the plurality of storage capacitors, are configured to couple offset information of the plurality of input capacitors to the plurality of storage capacitors.

Abstract: A pixel reading device, which includes a first capacitor, a second capacitor, a voltage generating circuit, and an analog front-end (AFE) circuit, is provided. A first terminal of the first capacitor is coupled to a fingerprint sensing pixel to receive a sensing voltage. A first terminal of the second capacitor is coupled to a second terminal of the first capacitor. The voltage generating circuit provide a compensation voltage to a second terminal of the second capacitor. During a sensing period of the fingerprint sensing pixel, the compensation voltage is at an initial level. During a level reading period of the fingerprint sensing pixel, the compensation voltage is pulled up from the initial level to a compensation level to compensate a common mode component of the sensing voltage. An input terminal of the AFE circuit is coupled to the second terminal of the first capacitor.

Abstract: A fingerprint sensing signal correction method for a fingerprint sensing signal correction device including a plurality of fingerprint sensors integrated inside of a display panel of an electronic device is disclosed. The method includes obtaining a plurality of environmental voltages of the display panel during a pre-scanning mode; generating a plurality of correction voltages associated with the plurality of environmental voltages during a signal processing mode; and canceling the plurality of environmental voltages from a plurality of amplified sensing voltages to generate a plurality of corrected sensing voltages during a normal mode.

The steps include receiving the at least one first pre-scan voltage from the at least one readout circuit; calculating a first pre-charge voltage according to the at least one first pre-scan voltage; and pre-charging the sensing lines to the first pre-charge voltage before the readout circuits receive the sensing voltages.

Abstract: A signal processing circuit for processing a sensing signal from a sensor includes an amplifier, an input capacitor group, a compensation capacitor group and first/second switch groups. The compensation capacitor group is coupled between a compensation node group and the second node group, and configured to receive a compensation signal coupled from the compensation node group.
