    Abstract: Each of segments of a vibration transmitting member has a dimension of a half-wave length between mutually neighboring vibration anti-nodes and sets a vibration node as a center. In each of recess segments included in the segments, the vibration node is located in a groove, and an intermediate extension extends from a proximal end to a distal end in the groove in a longitudinal direction. At least two of the recess segments are different from each other with respect to at least one of a dimension in the longitudinal direction of the intermediate extension and a cross-sectional area perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the intermediate extension.

    Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed to a treatment tool having a blade configured to engage with a treatment target. A heater is configured to be spaced apart from the blade. A first thermally conductive member is sandwiched between the blade and the heater so as to transmit heat to the blade. The first thermally conductive member includes respective first and second portions each of which is disposed on respective distal-end and proximal-end sides in longitudinal directions of the blade for thermally conducting a different prescribed quantity of heat per unit time from each of the respective first and second portions to the blade via the heater. The first thermally conductive member includes a first thermal conductivity anisotropy that is higher in longitudinal directions of the blade and is lower in widthwise directions transverse to the longitudinal directions.

The thermal treatment tool includes a thermally conductive member having opposed respective treatment and installation surfaces.     Abstract: An extending portion of a vibration transmitting unit. is capable of transmitting ultrasonic vibration from a proximal side to a distal side, and in the extending portion, a second component provided on the distal side with respect to a first component. A third component provided between the first component and the second component in the extending portion has a third cross-sectional area that is larger than a first cross-sectional area of the first component and is smaller than a second cross-sectional area of the second component, and one of vibration anti-nodes is positioned at third component by the extending portion vibrating at a frequency in a predetermined frequency range.

    Abstract: An ultrasonic probe includes a probe body which includes an outer peripheral portion provided along a longitudinal axis, and a void defining surface defining a void, which is open to an outside along the longitudinal axis in at least one part of the outer peripheral portion, along the longitudinal axis.     Abstract: A vibration transmission member for an ultrasonic treatment tool includes: a main body including a central axis, a distal end (DE), and a proximal end (PE), a center moving portion (CMP) at a distal side of a node where the DE meets the CMP, the node being at a most DE of the main body, and a curved portion (CP) at a distal side of the CMP. In a direction from a PE of the CP toward a DE of the CP, the CP is curved in a first direction. The center of gravity of the CMP moves along the CMP toward the DE of the CMP, the center of gravity moves relative to the central axis in a second direction. The CP extends from the DE of the main body to the PE of the CP. The CP includes a plurality of notches along a periphery of the CP.
