    Abstract: A cable management assembly designed to maintain cables during a short circuit event. The cable management assembly includes a ladder rack having a first side, a second side, and a plurality of ladder rungs extending from the first side to the second side. The plurality of ladder rungs include receptacles to receive the cables. Each side of the ladder rack has a plurality of holes extending a length of the ladder rack. A clamping frame is positioned over and secured to the ladder rack thereby maintaining the cables positioned in the ladder rungs.

    Abstract: A fiber optic stub fiber connector for reversibly and nondestructively terminating an inserted field fiber having a buffer over at least a portion thereof. The connector includes a housing and a ferrule including a stub fiber disposed within and extending from a bore through the ferrule. The ferrule is generally at least partially disposed within and supported by the housing. The connector further includes a reversible actuator for reversibly and nondestructively terminating the inserted field fiber to the stub fiber. The reversible actuator includes a buffer clamp for engaging with the buffer to simultaneously provide reversible and nondestructive strain relief to the terminated field fiber.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for decreasing alien crosstalk use enhanced patch cords for introducing additional attenuation. The enhanced patch cords are preferably shielded to reduce alien crosstalk down their lengths and also attenuate signals passing therethrough to a greater extent than standard communication patch cords. The interaction of two enhanced patch cords results in two suppression steps for alien crosstalk and only one suppression step for intended signal passing through a communication cable.

    Abstract: A tool for testing the termination of optical connectors has a housing, a cradle attached to the housing, and a cover removeably attached to the cradle. The cradle is configured to restrain a fiber optic connector and the cover is configured to at least partially block ambient light from reaching the fiber optic connector. In another embodiment, a tool for testing the termination of optical connectors has a housing, a cradle attached to the housing, a launch fiber, and a ferrule adapter. The ferrule adapter is connected such that it rotates about a pivot point on the cradle.
