    Abstract: An assembly for securing an electrical component to a server is disclosed. The assembly includes a structural case configured to receive and secure in place an electrical component for the server; a pair of rail holders mounted to the structural case, each rail holder of the pair of rail holders having a plurality of mounting holes that includes a first hole and a second hole; and a pair of latches, each latch of the pair of latches being movably mounted to a respective one of the pair of rail holders, each latch having a finger end that is coupled to a hook end via a bridge portion. The finger end and the hook end are inserted, respectively, into the first hole and the second hole of the respective one of the pair of rail holder, and independently and flexibly move relative to the bridge portion in response to applied pressure.

    Abstract: An eye-bolt assembly includes an eye bolt and a base portion. The eye bolt includes a ring portion, a stem portion, and at least one winged extension. The ring portion is attached a first end of the stem portion. The at least one winged extension is attached to a second end of the stem portion. The base portion receives and securely locks the eye bolt therein. The base portion includes a collar and a platform secured to the collar. The collar forms a first aperture therein. The platform forms a second aperture therein. The platform includes a spring being located at least partially within the second aperture. A first end of the spring is attached to the platform. The second aperture formed in the platform is in spaced communication with the first aperture formed in the collar.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a chassis housing one or more electronic components, a module configured to be inserted into a channel defined by the chassis, and an alignment mechanism disposed in the channel. The alignment mechanism has a body portion that defines an aperture. When the module is initially inserted into the channel in a first orientation, a first portion of the module passes over the aperture and compresses the body portion of the alignment mechanism along a first axis, to allow the module to be fully inserted into the channel. When the module is initially inserted into the channel in a second orientation, a second portion of the module passes through the aperture and does not compress the body portion of the alignment mechanism along the first axis, to prevent the module from being fully inserted into the channel.

    Abstract: Cable release devices and methods are disclosed. The device includes a frame defining an aperture. The frame is sized to fit around a connector on a printed circuit board (PCB) within a computer system with the connector extending into the aperture. The device further includes a post extending from the frame. The device further includes a lever connected to the post. The lever includes a first end positioned such that the first end aligns with a latch of a cable when the cable is connected to the connector and when the frame is around the connector such that actuation of the lever causes the lever to depress the latch. The actuation causes the release of the cable from being retained by the connector.

    Abstract: A computing device include a chassis, a mounting ear, a lever, and a locking unit. The chassis holds one or more electronic devices and is insertable into a rack, such as a server rack. The mounting ear is coupled to the chassis. The lever is rotatably coupled to the mounting ear and is rotatable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the lever engages the rack to prevent the chassis from being removed. In the second position, the lever disengages the rack and allows the chassis to be removed. The locking unit is coupled to the mounting ear and transitions between locked and unlocked states. In the locked state, the locking unit secures the lever in the first position. In the unlocked state, the lever is movable from the first position to the second position.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure include a support frame having a rear side, a bottom section, a connector bracket, a first perimeter section, a second perimeter section, and a rotatable bracket. The bottom section defines a width of the support frame. The connector bracket extends upright from the bottom section. The first perimeter section and the second perimeter section extend upright from opposing ends of the bottom section.     Abstract: A bracket for holding an electronic device in a carrier in a computing system is described. The bracket includes an outer plate and an inner compressible sleeve. The outer plate includes a front side and a back side. The inner compressible sleeve including a front section, a back section, and an aperture. The front section of the inner compressible sleeve is coupled to the back side of the outer plate. When the electronic device is inserted in the aperture, the electronic device compresses the inner compressible sleeve within the aperture. The bracket may also include a hole, on the outer plate, configured to mate with a fastener on the electronic device. The bracket also includes a protrusion on the outer plate. The protrusion prevents the electronic device from moving through the front side of the outer plate. The inner compressible sleeve of the bracket is a shock dampener.
