Abstract:
A control unit for a drone, said control unit comprising a protective case, a controller capable of remote operation of the drone and a space configured to receive the drone within said protective case for storage, wherein the drone is contained in its entirety within said protective case.
Abstract:
Core-skin bonding is improved between honeycomb and composite face sheets by applying a nylon-based (polyamide) adhesive to the edge of the honeycomb prior to bonding. Edge coating of honeycomb with polyamide adhesives is useful in further increasing the bond strength between honeycomb and prepreg face sheets, especially when the matrix resin of the prepreg is designed to adhere the prepreg to the honeycomb.
Abstract:
Aircraft floor and interior panels where core-skin bonding is improved between honeycomb and composite face sheets (skins) by applying a polyamide and/or rubber-containing adhesive to the edge of the honeycomb prior to bonding. Edge coating of the honeycomb allows one to reduce panel weight without reducing the performance parameters that are required for different types of aircraft floor and interior panels.
Abstract:
A plumbing fixture assembly for a toilet tank comprising an upper portion that connects with a valve, a lower portion adapted for engagement with the upper portion, and an attachment pipe that that connects at a first end with lower portion and at a distal end with a supply line.
Abstract:
A specimen tip holder assembly for mounting a specimen tip in a transmission electron microscope (TEM) is described. The specimen tip holder assembly comprises a tip holder for supporting a specimen tip. The tip holder is coupled to an elongate support for movement in a direction substantially perpendicular to the axis of the support. An actuator is mounted to the support for causing motion of the tip holder relative to the support.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, an authentication system includes: a sensor for sensing a biometric and for providing a first code in response to sensing the biometric; and a processor for evaluating the first code to authenticate a user of the sensor independent of said sensor sensing the biometric. The biometric may be one or more of a group consisting of: retinal information; fingerprint information; ocular information; DNA; veinal information; arterial information; voice information; and pulmonary information. The processor may include a code generator to generate a second code for evaluating the first code. The processor may also include a comparator for comparing the first code and the second code to authenticate the user.

Abstract:
The present invention comprises a method determining a corrective design for a system component exhibiting time-in-service reliability concerns. The method comprises the steps of establishing a plurality of remote customer databases for collecting service data for a system component, receiving at a centralized database during a predetermined period of time at least one parameter representative of a failure rate for the system component based at least in part on the service data and determining if the at least one parameter represents a system component defect. When the at least one parameter represents a system component defect, the method includes determining at least one failure mode of the system component based at least in part on the at least one received parameter and determining a corrective design for the system component based at least in part on the at least one failure mode.
Abstract:
There are disclosed antibody molecules containing at least one CDR derived from a mouse monoclonal antibody having specificity for human KDR. There is also disclosed a CDR grafted antibody wherein at least one of the CDRs is a hybrid CDR. Further disclosed are DNA sequences encoding the chains of the antibody molecules, vectors, transformed host cells and uses of the antibody molecules in the treatment of diseases in which VEGF and/or KDR are implicated.
