Abstract: The current invention relates to a moisture-hardening composition that contains, in addition to a silane-functional polymer with end groups of formula (I), a reaction product that can be manufactured from an amino silane with primary amino groups and an alkene that is free of silane groups. The compositions are characterized by improved expandability with concurrent high reactivity, good adhesion characteristics, and high tear strength and are suited especially for use as elastic bonding substance or sealant.

Abstract: A moisture-curable composition, including at least one polymer P containing reactive silane groups; between 0.1 and 5 wt.-%, based on the total composition, of at least one organosilane OS of the formula (I), wherein R20 independently stands for a monovalent, optionally cyclic or branched, hydrocarbyl or heterocarbyl radical, optionally comprising aromatic moieties, which contains 1 to 12 carbon atoms and wherein the carbon atom next to the silicon atom either bonds via a C═C double bond to another carbon atom or bonds to a heteroatom selected from O, N, and S; R21 independently stands for a linear, cyclic, or branched divalent hydrocarbyl radical having 2 to 12 carbon atoms and optionally containing aromatic moieties; R22 stands for a hydrogen atom or a group of the formula (Ia); characterized in that the curable composition does not contain catalytically active organometallic or acidic compounds.

Abstract: An adhesive composition, including at least polymer containing silane groups, between 15 and 35 wt.-% of at least one polymeric plasiticzer, between 0.5 and 2.5 wt.-% of at least one monomeric or oligomeric aminofunctional alkoxysilane S1 with a nitrogen content of between 4.5 and 14.5 wt.-%, and between 0.5 and 2.5 wt.-% of at least one oligomeric aminofunctional alkoxysilane S2 with a nitrogen content of between 15 and 20 wt.-%. The adhesive composition is particularly suitable to seal or bond thermoplastic substrates, such as polyolefins or bituminous materials, and shows fast adhesion build-up and low volatile organic carbon (VOC).

Abstract: A method for adhesively bonding two substrates by means of a moisture-curable adhesive composition, wherein at least one of the substrates includes at least 40 wt.-% of a mixture, said mixture consisting of: between 15 and 99 wt.-% of at least one thermoplastic polymer; between 1 and 85 wt.-% of at least one elastomer; and wherein the moisture-curable adhesive composition includes: at least one polymer containing silane groups; between 10 and 40 wt.-% of at least one polymeric plasticizer; between 0.1 and 5 wt.-% of at least one amino-functional alkoxysilane; between 0 and 5 wt.-% of at least one C1-C12-alkyl-functional alkoxysilane. The method yields adhesively bonded substrates without the requirements of using migrating plasticizers and pre-treating of the substrates.

Abstract: A moisture-curable composition having flame retardant properties and to the use thereof as an adhesive, sealant or coating. The composition according to the invention contains at least one moisture-reactive polymer in a proportion of 10% to 50% by weight, at least one precipitated, surface-coated aluminum trihydrate in a proportion of 30% to 60% by weight and in preferred embodiments up to 25% by weight of at least one phosphorus-containing compound and up to 20% by weight of at least one carbon additive. The inventive moisture-curable composition has excellent flame retardant properties and after curing remains resistant for a long time at high heat levels.
