    Abstract: A display device that includes a display panel, a backlight device, and a display driver. The backlight device includes light sources configured such that color of light emitted from the light sources varies with luminance levels. The display driver is configured to: process a first input grey level of a first color for a target pixel based on a specified luminance level of a corresponding light source to determine a first output grey level of the first color for the target pixel; and configured to process a second input grey level of a second color for the target pixel based on the specified luminance level to determine a second output grey level of the second color for the target pixel. The first output grey level and the second output grey level are determined to compensate for a change in color of light emitted from the corresponding light source.

    Abstract: A display driver includes image processing circuitry and drive circuitry. The image processing circuitry is configured to generate first voltage data for a first pixel in a first screen area of a display panel using a first gamma parameter. The image processing circuitry is further configured to generate second voltage data for a second pixel in a second screen area of the display panel using a second gamma parameter set. The image processing circuitry is further configured to determine an interpolated gamma parameter set for a third pixel in a connection area of the display panel through interpolation between the first gamma parameter set and the second gamma parameter set. The connection area is disposed between the first screen area and the second screen area. The image processing circuitry is further configured to generate third voltage data for the third pixel using the interpolated gamma parameter set.

    Abstract: A display system includes a display panel and first and second display drivers. The first display driver is configured to generate first region total current data corresponding to a subtotal of estimated pixel currents of respective pixels in a first region of the display panel. The second display driver is configured to generate second region total current data corresponding to a subtotal of estimated pixel currents of respective pixels in a second region of the display panel. The first display driver is further configured to receive the second region total current data from the second display driver, receive first image data for the first region; generate first voltage data based on the first image data, and update the first region of the display panel based on the first voltage data. Generating the first voltage data includes an IR-drop compensation based on the first and second region total current data.

    Abstract: A display driver that drives a display panel comprises storage circuitry, color addition processing circuitry, and drive circuitry. The storage circuitry stores F subpixel data acquired from color coordinate data indicating color coordinates of a displayed color in a predetermined color space displayed on the display panel when an R subpixel, a G subpixel, and a B subpixel in each of a plurality of pixels of the display panel are driven with drive signals corresponding to a minimum grayscale value and an F subpixel in each of the plurality of pixels which displays an additional color other than a primary color R, a primary color G, and a primary color B is driven with a drive signal corresponding to a maximum grayscale value. The color addition processing circuitry generates output FRGB data from input RGB data, in response to the F subpixel data stored in the storage circuitry.

    Abstract: The display driver includes control circuitry and signal supply circuitry. The control circuitry is configured to store a first setting table for a first frame rate and a second setting table for a second frame rate. The control circuitry is further configured to, in response to adjusting a frame rate of a display device from the first frame rate to the second frame rate, generate an interpolated control parameter through interpolation of a first control parameter obtained from the first setting table and a second control parameter obtained from the second setting table. The signal supply circuitry is configured to generate at least one first signal to be supplied to a display panel based on the interpolated control parameter.
