Abstract: An audio device and method are disclosed. The audio device includes a microphone, a communication circuit, and a processor. The processor implements the method, including: establishing a communication link with an electronic device via the communication circuit, transmitting information related to the communication link to an external audio device via the communication circuit, detecting a first level of noise included in a first audio data collected via the at least one microphone, identifying a second level of noise of the external audio device, when the first level of noise satisfies a predesignated first condition, and controlling the external audio device to transmit second audio data collected by the external audio device to the electronic device, when the second level of noise of the external audio device meets a predesignated second condition different from the predesignated first condition.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for customizing audio data processing are provided. The method includes receiving audio data through a wireless communication channel from an external device; decoding the received audio data; reducing noise of the decoded audio data; identifying hearing characteristics of a user by testing hearing abilities of the user at a plurality of frequency bands; adjusting a dynamic range of each of the plurality of frequency bands based on the hearing characteristics; processing the noise-reduced audio data based on the adjusted dynamic range of each of the plurality of frequency bands; and outputting the processed audio data.

Abstract: Certain embodiments of the disclosure include a first electronic device, comprising at least one microphone, a communication circuit, and at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor is configured to: establish a first communication connection with an external electronic device using the communication circuit, transmit through the first communication connection, to the external electronic device, using the communication circuit, information for a first voice signal obtained using the at least one microphone, receive second noise information for a second voice signal from the second electronic device, by the communication circuit, wherein the second voice signal corresponding to the first voice signal was obtained by a second electronic device while the information for the first voice signal was transmitted to the external electronic device, and transmit, based on first noise information for the first voice signal and the received second noise information satisfy a specified condition, first control information for allowing the second electronic device to establish a second communication connection with the external electronic device, using the communication circuit.

The at least one processor may acquire a video signal, based on a designated zoom level via the camera, acquire a plurality of audio signals respectively via the plurality of microphones while acquiring the video signal, identify a first signal characteristic of a first audio signal acquired via a first microphone and a second signal characteristic of a second audio signal acquired via a second microphone among the plurality of microphones, derive a control parameter for signal processing for the first audio signal and the second audio signal, based on the designated zoom level, the first signal characteristic, and the second signal characteristic, and perform audio signal processing including beamforming using the first audio signal and the second audio signal, based on the derived control parameter. Various other embodiments are also possible.

The processor is configured to determine whether there is auditory data stored in the memory of the electronic device when an external electronic device is connected thereto through the communication circuit, send a request for auditory data to the external electronic device when there is no auditory data stored in the memory, receive the auditory data from the external electronic device, correct data, at the electronic device, about the sound received through the microphone using the auditory data, receive corrected audio data from the external electronic device, synthesize the corrected data about the sound and the corrected audio data received from the external device to obtain first synthesized data, and output a first new sound corresponding to the first synthesized data through the speaker.

Abstract: An electronic device and a sound signal processing method for improving sound perception of a hearing-impaired user are provided. The electronic device of the present disclosure includes a sound input unit comprising sound input circuitry configured to detect a sound and to convert the sound into a first sound signal and a processor which is electrically connected to the sound input unit, the processor configured to receive the first sound signal and to perform a predetermined signal processing on the first sound signal to generate a second sound signal, wherein the signal processing includes detecting a frequency band with a level equal to or greater than a predetermined value in a first frequency band above a predetermined cutoff frequency of the first sound signal, generating harmonic signals including a plurality of frequency bins that are identical in level with a signal in the detected frequency band, and overlapping the harmonic signals with the first sound signal.
