Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a first processor configured to perform wireless communication with a local area data network (LADN), and a second processor electrically connected with the first processor. The first processor is configured to receive a first message from the LADN indicating that a wireless communication session with the LADN is deactivated because the electronic device has departed from a geographic service area of the LADN, after receiving the first message, and transmit a second message to the second processor indicating that the wireless communication session is deactivated. The second processor is configured to terminate generation of a data packet for uplink transmission after receiving the second message.

Abstract: An electronic device is disclosed. The memory stores instructions, when executed, causing the processor to, when the electronic device is booted, identify a single-NSSAI (s-NSSAI) candidate group including at least one s-NSSAI, based on configuration information of the application, determine a specified number of s-NSSAIs among at least one s-NSSAI included in the configured NSSAI as a first requested NSSAI based on the number of s-NSSAIs included in the configured NSSAI and the s-NSSAI candidate group, and transmit a first registration request message including the first requested NSSAI, via the wireless communication circuitry.

Abstract: A terminal synchronization method and apparatus for use in a wireless communication system are provided. A synchronization method includes configuring, at the terminal, a synchronization signal reference time depending on whether a synchronization signal is received in an initial observation period as long as at least two frames, monitoring to receive the synchronization signal in an alternation period of a transmission period and a reception period, the alternation period following the initial observation period, updating the reference time depending on whether the synchronization signal is received in the reception period, transmitting the synchronization signal at the updated reference time in the transmission period, and updating the reference time depending on whether the synchronization signal is received in a dedicated observation period following the alternation period. The synchronization apparatus and method are advantageous in that synchronization is obtained without assistance of a base station, an Access Point (AP), etc.

Abstract: An apparatus of a user equipment (UE) for supporting a higher data rate than a 4G communication system is provided. The processor is configured to broadcast a request signal for positioning the UE, receive response signals corresponding to the request signal from a plurality of UEs, based on received signal timings of the response signals and timing advance (TA) values of the plurality of UEs, select one of at least one UE set which is classified based on a distance from the UE, select three UEs from the selected set based on the TA values such that a triangular area comprising the three UEs as vertices covers the UE, and generate position information of the UE based on distances between the three UEs and the UE.
