Abstract:
A method of performing an image forming operation in an image forming apparatus supporting peer to peer (P2P) connection includes P2P connecting the image forming apparatus to an external wireless device while the image forming apparatus is wirelessly connected to an access point (AP) of an infrastructured network, receiving a discovery packet from the wireless device via a P2P interface, transmitting to the wireless device a response packet including an Internet protocol (IP) address of the P2P interface, receiving from the wireless device an image forming operation performing request having the IP address of the P2P interface as a destination, and performing the requested image forming operation.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for setting up a wireless LAN. The method includes receiving a packet, which informs a user that a WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button of an access point is operated, from the access point; activating a button provided in an image forming apparatus as a WPS button; selecting a button activated as the WPS button; and if the button activated as the WPS button is selected, establishing a wireless network with the access point.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for generating a key for a broadcast encryption. The apparatus includes a node secret generator for managing a user that receives broadcast data in a tree structure and for generating a unique node secret for each node in the tree structure. The apparatus also includes an instant key generator for temporarily generating an instant key used at all nodes in common in the tree structure, and a node key generator for generating a node key for each node by operating the node secret generated at the node secret generator and the instant key generated at the instant key generator. Thus, key update can be efficiently achieved.
Abstract:
A heater of a thermal inkjet printhead. The heater is formed of tantalum aluminum oxynitride (Ta—Al—ON), wherein the tantalum aluminum oxynitride is formed of about 30 to about 60 atomic % tantalum, about 10 to about 30 atomic % aluminum, about 5 to about 30 atomic % oxygen, and about 5 to about 30 atomic % nitrogen.
Abstract:
An inkjet printhead and a method of manufacturing the printhead. The inkjet printhead includes a substrate through which an ink supply passage is formed, a chamber plate stacked on the substrate having an ink chamber filled with ink supplied through the ink supply passage and heating resistors to heat the ink formed in the ink chamber, a nozzle plate formed on the chamber plate and through which a plurality of nozzles through which ink is ejected are formed, and a water repellent layer formed on the nozzle plate, wherein portions of a covalent bond formed by reaction between the material forming the nozzle plate and a hydrolysis material used to form the water repellent layer are discontinuously formed.
Abstract:
A print control method of a host apparatus which is connected to at least one image forming apparatus in a network, the method including receiving changed IP information from the at least one image forming apparatus; determining whether the host apparatus performs a print job with respect to the image forming apparatus which has the changed IP information; holding the print job if there is the print job; changing a print option for the print job; and transmitting print data corresponding to the print job according to the changed print option. With this, the apparatus and the method may normally perform a print job by changing a port of an image forming apparatus and prevent data loss due to a failure to change the port normally even if there is a print job for an image forming apparatus whose IP address is changed.
Abstract:
An authentication method in a home network having at least one communicatable device and a home server which controls the devices, in which the home server authenticates the devices forming the home network. The home server generates the authentication key using the stored unique information of the home network device, and sends the generated authentication key together with the unique information to the device. The home server compares the operation value with respect to the generated authentication key and the unique information with the value received from the device, and completes the authentication when the two values are the same.
Abstract:
A system and method for configuring a device using a remote controller are provided. The system includes at least one device which transmits and receives data using a wireless communication connection and performs a preset operation according to a received control signal; a server which communicates data with the at least one device over a radio channel and controls functions of the at least one device; and a short distance wireless communication device that authenticates the at least one device by receiving a device address list through radio communications with the server and assigning a device address selected from the received address list to the at least one device. Thus, inputting password information of the device directly to the server is not required when a new device is configured.
Abstract:
A bubble-ink jet print head includes: a substrate having ink chambers to store ink and resistance heat emitting bodies to heat ink disposed thereover; and an ink supply passage which penetrates the substrate and which is connected with the ink chambers. The ink supply passage includes: a first trench formed at a first surface of the substrate in a first pattern having a separating distance from at least one of inlets of the ink chambers and connecting portions between the adjacent ink chambers, the first surface of the substrate having the ink chambers disposed thereover, and a second trench formed at a second surface of the substrate in a second pattern, having one of an area equal to and an area smaller than that of the first trench in the range of the first pattern of the first trench, and in communication with the first trench.
Abstract:
An inkjet printer head includes a substrate having a manifold and an ink channel to supply ink, a nozzle plate formed on the substrate, a chamber formed between the substrate and the nozzle plate and extending toward the substrate and the nozzle plate, an electrode formed at an interface between the substrate and the nozzle plate and around the chamber, and a heater having both ends extending in contact with the electrode to be suspended on the chamber in direct contact with the ink and to generate bubbles from both surfaces thereof. The inkjet printer head is capable of improving manufacturing process efficiency by omitting a process of separately forming a heater passivation layer, operating the heater at low electric power by omitting the heater passivation layer, improving integrity of a nozzle by lowering a working voltage, and improving reliability in manufacturing processes by locating the suspended heater to be in parallel with the substrate and the electrode.
