    Abstract: A hot-stamping foil has a carrier that is a base film or a coated base film, and a laminated optical decoration formed on the carrier in a removable manner. The laminated optical decoration includes a laminated optical structure, an anchor layer formed on the laminated optical structure at a side opposite against the carrier, the anchor layer being a mixture of an acid-modified polyolefin and a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, and an adhesive layer which is formed on the anchor layer at a side opposite against the laminated optical structure. The adhesive layer has an adhesive domain containing an acid-modified polyolefin as a major component, and a non-adhesive domain containing a blocking preventing agent as a major component. The blocking preventing agent is one or both of a resin filler and an inorganic filler. A glass transition point of the blocking preventing agent is greater than 60° C.

    Abstract: A subwavelength grating displaying a colored image exhibiting a color corresponding to a grating period of a subwavelength grating in reflection directions including a specular reflection direction. A relief surface displaying a reflection image in monochromatic reflected light in reflection directions including a direction different from the specular reflection direction. An optical element has a first state in which neither a colored image nor a reflection image is displayed, a second state in which the colored image is mainly displayed, and a third state in which the reflection image is mainly displayed. A plane in which the optical element is disposed and a plane including a line of sight of an observer form an observation angle therebetween. The optical element is observed in any of the first, second and third states according to the observation angle.

    Abstract: A display having high resistance to counterfeiting including a micro concavo-convex structure layer on a predetermined reference surface, the micro concavo-convex structure layer having a plurality of microstructures arranged on the reference surface. Each of the microstructures is formed of a prism structure made of a material that transmits light with a triangular cross-section having a first surface inclined relative to the reference surface in side view, and a second surface having an inclination angle relative to the reference surface such that the inclination angle is larger than an inclination angle of the first surface relative to the reference surface. A color layer as an example of a functional layer is provided on the second surface of all or some of the plurality of microstructures.

    Abstract: A hot-stamping foil which is transferred to a transfer target by applying a transfer thermal pressure, including: a carrier that is a base film or a coated base film; a laminated optical decoration having a laminated optical structure formed on the carrier; a sinking control layer which contains a soft resin and a deformation limiting agent and is formed on the laminated optical structure; and an adhesive layer which is formed on the sinking control layer, wherein the adhesive layer contains a resin component which contains a thermoplastic resin having a glass transition temperature lower than room temperature and defines the thickness of the adhesive layer, and spacer particles which have a particle size larger than the thickness of the adhesive layer and some of which protrude from the resin component, and wherein the spacer particles sink into the sinking control layer after transfer thermal pressing.
