Abstract: Methods and systems for image segmentation and analysis are described. A predictive model may be trained to identify and/or extract a rich set of image features with extensive prognostic value. For example, the predictive model may be trained to identify and/or extract features that that may be visualized to identify areas of interest (e.g., high-risk regions, etc.) within or adjacent to an object of interest, such a tumor. The predictive model may be trained to identify and/or extract features that that may predict a health related outcome, such as cancer patient survival/death, and modify therapeutic outcomes, such as diagnosis and treatment.

Abstract: A method for needle position optimization for prostate brachytherapy for use with a radiation delivery device configured to use a plurality of needles inserted into a prostate of a patient includes obtaining imagery of the prostate of the patient, generating a needle pool for prostate brachytherapy treatment of the patient based on the imagery of the prostate of the patient, and determining at a computing device an optimum prostate brachytherapy treatment plan for the patient by iteratively removing needles from the needle pool by forming and computationally solving a convex optimization problem wherein the convex optimization problem uses a quadratic dosimetric penalty function, dwell time regularization by total variation, and block sparsity regularization term.

Abstract: An automated method for segmentation includes steps of receiving at a computing device an input image representing at least one surface and performing by the computing device image segmentation on the input image based on a graph surface segmentation model with deep learning. The deep learning may be used to parameterize the graph surface segmentation model.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described for a rotating shield brachytherapy device. As disclosed herein, the rotating shield brachytherapy (RSBT) apparatus may comprise a radiation source, a drive assembly, a catheter, and an applicator. The applicator can have an outer surface and opposed proximal and distal end portions and a longitudinal axis extending along a length of the catheter. The distal end portion of the catheter can comprise one or more radiation shields and is configured to receive the radiation source. The drive assembly can be configured to engage the proximal end portion of the catheter to selectively rotate the catheter about the longitudinal axis.

Abstract: A method for pooled sample testing for a target substance using compressed sensing includes receiving a plurality of individual samples, determining a mixing matrix for a plurality of pooled sample mixtures to create by mixing portions of selected ones of the plurality of individual samples, and determining an allocation matrix for the plurality of pooled samples, wherein the allocation matrix allocations portions of each of the plurality of pooled samples for each test, performing mixing to create the plurality of pooled sample mixtures based on the mixing matrix and the allocation matrix, performing quantitative tests on the plurality of pooled sample mixtures so as to estimate an amount of the target substance contained within each of the plurality of pooled sample mixtures, and decoding results of the quantitative tests to determine quantitative estimates of amount of the target substance in each of the plurality of individual samples.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems for analyzing data. An example method can comprise receiving volume data representative of an object. A first graph can be generated based on the volume data. The first graph can comprise nodes arranged in a Euclidean space. A deformation field can be determined based on the volume data. The deformation field can be applied to the first graph to form a second graph. The second graph can comprise nodes arranged in a non-Euclidean space. The second graph can be segmented.
