Abstract:
The invention proposes a lighting module for a motor vehicle, including a modulated intensity source of coherent light. The features of the invention make it possible to increase the safety of a device of this kind by employing more robust fault detection than the prior art. A method for controlling a device of this kind is also proposed.
Abstract:
A control device for controlling a plurality of sets of LEDs, especially for an automotive vehicle, the plurality of sets of LEDs comprising at least a first set that is associated with at least a first lighting and/or signaling function and a second set that is associated with at least a second and third function. The control device comprises an electrical power source able to be connected, especially in parallel, to the first set and to the second set of LEDs and to deliver at least two different electrical power levels suitable for the first and second lighting and/or signaling function, respectively a switching module able to be connected, especially in series, with the first set of LEDs and to switch between a first position, especially an open position, in which only the second set of LEDs is supplied with electrical power, and a second position, especially a closed position, in which the first set and the second set of LEDs are supplied with electrical power simultaneously and a module for regulating electrical current able to be connected, especially in series, with the second set of LEDs and to switch between a regulating position enabling adjustment of a third electrical power level suitable for a third lighting and/or signaling function and a short-circuit position.
Abstract:
A lighting system for a motor vehicle with a pixelated light source having a plurality of selectively activatable elementary light sources is described. The activation of each elementary light source being controlled exclusively by a switch assigned to the elementary light source. A power converter designed to supply an electrical power to the pixelated light source and a controller designed to control the voltage supplied by the power converter and to control the switches controlling the activation of the elementary light sources. The lighting system also includes an electrical current sensor designed to measure the electrical current supplied by the power converter to the pixelated light source and to transmit information relating to said measured current to the controller.
Abstract:
The subject of the invention is a reflector device for a lighting module of a motor vehicle. The device includes a housing made of plastic, wherein the internal faces are metallized so as to reflect the light received. The housing on an external face of one of its walls has reception means able to house a support including at least one light source, the wall having an opening which leads toward the inside of the housing and which allows the light emitted by the light source or sources to propagate toward the inside of the housing. According to the provisions of the invention, the external face of the housing may be connected to ground potential so as to act as a shield against the electromagnetic waves emitted by various electronic components.
Abstract:
A device for controlling the electrical power supply of a pixelated light source comprises a converter having a feedback control loop and a microcontroller element. The microcontroller element is arranged to act on the controlled value in a precise manner as a function of at least one parameter of the pixelated light source powered by the converter.
Abstract:
A device and a method for protecting the buck circuit of a DC voltage converter, for example of boost-buck type, if the input voltage of the boost circuit falls below a voltage threshold value. The invention finds a particular application in devices for controlling the power supply of light sources and notably light-emitting diodes (LED).
Abstract:
A motor vehicle lighting system includes a light source, a multi-phase interleaved power converter having a plurality of selectively activatable elementary converters, each of which is configured to generate an electrical signal having its own phase. The power converter is designed to supply electrical power to the light source, and controller is designed to selectively control each of the elementary converters of the power converter. The controller is designed to receive an emission command for the emission of a desired light beam by the light source and to activate a strictly necessary number of elementary converters of the power converter such that the power converter supplies, to the light source, an electrical power needed to emit the desired light beam.

The microcontroller element is arranged to act on the controlled value in a precise manner as a function of at least one parameter of the pixelated light source powered by the converter.
Abstract:
A light module for a motor vehicle, including a first electrical assembly on a first carrier, which harbours a plurality of branches that are connected in parallel, each branch including light sources, preferably light-emitting diodes. The module includes a second carrier which includes a control unit for controlling the supply of electrical power to the light sources, the control unit including a feedback loop from a reference branch. The light module allows the number of connections between the two carriers of the assembly to be decreased and reliability thereof to be increased.
