    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a metallic case of a pyrotechnical igniter having a wall with at least one weak zone and an inner surface in the case with at least one part facing this at least one weak zone includes positioning the case on a matrix having a plane zone. The method further includes striking the wall with at least one punch so as to, in a single movement of striking, deform at least the part of the inner surface facing this at least one weak zone and having at least one initially curved-in zone in order to bring it on the plane zone and to form in this manner a plane inner surface, and to form the at least one weak zone.

    Abstract: A metal obturating element is capable of being resistance-welded to the outer side of an edge of a hole of a metal wall of a pressurized gas reservoir of a gas generator, including on a first side, a portion dimensioned for covering the hole and having an end intended to be inserted into the hole, and a portion for connecting the portion to the peripheral edge, having a surface tilted rearwards relatively to the end and around the portion, this surface intended to be welded to the outer side of the edge of the hole. The element is formed with a deep-drawn part. The tilted surface forms around the central portion an angle greater than or equal to 50° and less than or equal to 80° relatively to the axis. The part includes in a second side located opposite to the first side another surface tilted rearwards relatively to the end and this by at least one angle greater than or equal to 10° and less than or equal to 80° relatively to the axis.

    Abstract: A side airbag device stowed in a side part of a vehicle seat and includes: an airbag for restraining an occupant by expanding and deploying; and an inflator provided in a side wall part of a seat frame in the vehicle width direction extending in the vehicle traveling direction when a horizontal cross section of the vehicle seat is viewed from above, and that supplies expansion gas to the airbag. The airbag includes a main chamber that expands and deploys towards the front and a pre-push chamber that expands and deploys before the main chamber to the inside of the main chamber in the vehicle width direction. Furthermore, the pre-push chamber has a structure with an extension portion extending from the inflator towards the rear of the vehicle seat.

    Abstract: An airbag device that is stowed in the instrument panel of a vehicle in order to protect an occupant in a passenger seat and includes an inflator for generating expansion gas along with an airbag that inflates and deploys toward the occupant side via gas released from the inflator. The airbag is connected to the inflator and includes a main chamber positioned in front of the occupant properly seated during deployment and a sub chamber connected to at least one side of the main chamber. An inner vent through which gas flows, is formed at a boundary portion of the main chamber and the sub chamber. Furthermore, a check valve for opening and closing the inner vent is provided.

    Abstract: A steering wheel enabling support of an airbag module by distributing a load when the airbag activates to ensure prescribed deployment performance of the airbag without affecting the horn function. The steering wheel includes: a support unit that supports the airbag module enabling the airbag module to move along the Z-axis direction relative to the core metal; and a horn mechanism having a movable contact provided on the airbag module and a fixed contact provided on the pin of the support unit. When in a horn non-operating state, a stopper is separated by a distance D2 in the Z-axis direction relative to the airbag module and the distance D2 is farther than the distance D1 of the movable contact and the fixed contact in the Z-axis direction.
