In particular, the composition described herein has an aqueous base fluid, a suspension polymer, a fluid loss control additive, and a degradable bridging agent. These novel compositions provide a means to temporarily seal a wellbore communicating with a subterranean formation to enable completion or workover operations to be performed, after which the composition can be removed by contact with a mild clean-up composition.

Abstract: Treatment fluids for use in fluid loss control, diversion, and plugging operations and methods of use are disclosed. The treatment fluids contain a degradable particular langbeinite material that temporarily creates a physical barrier to fluid flow before degrading over time with little to no effect on the environment. This degradable additive can be combined with other traditional downhole additives such as surfactants, viscosifying agents, biocides and the like, allowing for a wide variety of applications in hydrocarbon reservoirs.

Abstract: Molded-in-color thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) compositions useful for making automotive components, such as injection molded parts, as well as other articles of manufacture are described. The molded-in-color composition has a ΔE* value≤2.0 (compared to a painted color master), a gloss measured at 60° from about 76 to about 90 GU, a density ranging from about 0.9 to about 0.97 g/cm3, a melt mass flow rate from about 15 to about 40 g/10 min (ASTM D 1238, 230° C./2.16 kg), a flexural modulus between about 600 to about 2000 MPa, and an as-molded shrinkage between about 0.6% and about 1.4%. The compositions can be used to prepare molded-in-color components that can undergo additional clear coating steps as required by the automotive application. The clear coated molded-in-color components have a gloss measured at 20° from about 85 to about 95 GU and a gloss retention after mar between about 85% and about 93%.

Abstract: Drill-in fluids disclosed herein comprise an aqueous base fluid, a viscosifier, a fluid loss control additive, and a degradable bridging agent comprising a degradable high strength polymetaphosphate material capable of undergoing an irreversible degradation downhole. The present disclosure further relates to a method for controlling fluid loss through a subterranean surface by using the drill-in fluid for form a filter cake on the subterranean surface. Also provided is a method of degrading a filter cake with an aqueous fluid or aqueous acidic fluid, wherein the filter cake is produced from the drill-in fluid. Further provided is a specific order of addition of constituents of the drill-in fluid, which results in improved filter cake performance and/or filter cake removal.

Abstract: Foamed reactor made thermoplastic polyolefins (rTPOs), and articles made therefrom, are described. The compositions have an rTPO combined with a foaming agent. The foaming agent can be a physical blowing agent and/or a chemical foaming agent, and may include optional nucleating agents. Some compositions utilize a masterbatch having one or more chemical foaming agents to foam the rTPOs. The rTPOs have a large melt flow rate range and flexural modulus range that translate into a broad scope of potential applications and foamed architecture. This allows the combination of rTPOs and foaming agents to be fine-tuned for selected foaming application.
