Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a mobile terminal and respective operation method. The mobile terminal comprises circuitry, which in operation monitors PDCCH candidates of a first search space set located in a designated first frequency range from the plurality of frequency ranges, and receives a DCI transmitted in the first search space set of the designated first frequency range. The received DCI includes an indication whether or not the mobile terminal is to skip monitoring some specific or all PDCCH candidates in at least one second search space set associated with at least one second frequency range from the plurality of frequency ranges. And only if the indication in the received DCI does not indicate to skip monitoring the specific or all PDCCH candidates, the circuitry additionally monitors the specific or all PDCCH candidates associated with the at least one second frequency range for receiving a DCI thereon.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides communication apparatus and communication method for channel estimation. Abstract: An encoder includes circuitry and memory coupled to the circuitry. The circuitry, in operation, for each coefficient of a plurality of coefficients included in a block, determines a base level relating to Context-Based Adaptive Binary Arithmetic Coding (CABAC) for the coefficient, and encodes an absolute value of the coefficient. In determining the base level, when one or more flags are used in encoding the absolute value of the coefficient, the base level is determined to be a first value, and when one or more flags are not used in the encoding, the base level is determined to be a second value that is smaller than the first value. In encoding the absolute value of the coefficient, when one or more flags are not used, a rice parameter is determined based on the base level which is equal to the second value, and the coefficient is binarized using the rice parameter.

Abstract: A decoder includes a memory and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry, in operation, changes values of pixels in a first block and a second block to filter a boundary therebetween, using clipping such that change amounts of the respective values are within respective clip widths. The clip widths for the pixels in the first block and the second block are selected based on block sizes of the first block and the second block. The pixels in the first block include a first pixel located at a first position, and the pixels in the second block include a second pixel located at a second position corresponding to the first position with respect to the boundary. The clip widths include a first clip width and a second clip width corresponding to the first pixel and the second pixel, respectively, and the first clip width is different from the second width.
