    Abstract: A fluidic geometry to produce uniform oscillating sprays is described. The geometry can be embodied as an insert, housing, or system in which an inlet feeds an interaction chamber. A major island is disposed at the upstream end of that chamber so as to create two power nozzles that are positioned off of the centerline axis and downstream of the major island. A minor island is also disposed within the interaction chamber, but remains spaced apart and downstream of the major island so as to define an exchange channel. The exchange channel creates an inertance effect that can be controlled and adjusted so as to provide the desired oscillating spray fan produced by the geometry. This arrangement exhibits consistent cold and high temperature performance for a range of fluid compositions and operating conditions.

    Abstract: An oscillating nozzle, in particular for a cleaning device, includes a fluid oscillator having an oscillation chamber. The oscillating nozzle is configured in an angled manner, so that the plane of the fluid jet is deflected in the interior of the nozzle. The deflection occurs downstream of the oscillation chamber. A cleaning device and a suction roller are also provided.

    Abstract: Nozzles and systems for cleaning sensors of a vehicle are provided. An adjustable nozzle can include an inlet configured to receive a pressurized fluid, an adjustable oscillator coupled with the inlet, and an outlet coupled with the adjustable oscillator. The adjustable oscillator can be configured to receive the pressurized fluid from the inlet and generate an oscillating fluid, and can include a first oscillation wall comprising a first adjustable chamber modifier wall and a second oscillation wall comprising a second adjustable chamber modifier wall. The first adjustable chamber modifier wall and the second adjustable chamber modifier wall can define an adjustable mixing chamber configured to generate the oscillating fluid having one or more properties that are adjustable by the first adjustable chamber modifier wall or the second adjustable chamber modifier wall. The outlet can be configured to receive the oscillating fluid and eject the oscillating fluid from the adjustable nozzle.

    Abstract: Applicators and methods for dispensing material are disclosed. The applicator includes a syringe defining an inlet, and outlet, a chamber extending from the inlet to the outlet, a plunger disposed within the chamber, and a piston attached to the plunger, where the piston is configured to move the plunger through the chamber. The applicator also includes an actuation mechanism configured to linearly translate the piston through the chamber so as to dispense material through the outlet, a sensor attached to the plunger, where the sensor is configured to sense a linear movement of the plunger, and a controller configured to adjust operation of the actuation mechanism based on the linear movement sensed by the sensor such that the piston repeatedly dispenses a predetermined amount of the material from the outlet of the syringe over a plurality of dispense cycles.
