    Abstract: A nozzle is provided for providing anode material into an electrochemical cell and method of using the same. The nozzle comprises a hollow tubular body extending between an open upper end and an open lower end; a lower deflector spaced apart from the open lower end of the hollow tubular body and forming an annular opening between a deflection surface of the lower deflector and the open lower end of the hollow tubular body; and a support rod connecting the lower deflector with the hollow tubular body, wherein the support rod is suspended within an interior of the hollow tubular body by one or more support trusses.

    Abstract: A system and method for coating marine pipeline weld joints and wet inspection of the applied coating is provided. The coating system includes an anti-corrosion coating including a fluorescent pigment to enhance inspection of the applied coating. The system also includes a robotic crawler for traversing inside the pipe and carrying a coating apparatus and inspection apparatus respectively configured to apply the coating on the weld joints and facilitate inspection of the wet coating. The coating apparatus comprises a spraying nozzle provided on a forward end of the robotic crawler and configured to spray coating onto on the surrounding circumferential pipe surface. The inspection apparatus includes an ultraviolet radiation emitter for activating the fluorescent pigment in the coating and a camera for providing a live image feed of the coated weld joint area to an operator computing station for inspection of the applied coating.

    Abstract: The present invention is a system and method facilitating the application of PVC primer or PVC cement to the inner surfaces of PVC unions, PVC sleeves, and the outer surfaces of PVC pipes. The invention consists of a PVC primer or PVC cement reservoir, a method of filing the PVC reservoir, and forcing the PVC primer or PVC cement through a series of tubes and holes in the apparatus and into a foam applicator which transfers the PVC primer or PVC cement onto the inner surface or onto the outer surface of a PVC union, PVC sleeve, or PVC pipe to a predetermined depth thus reducing waste of the PVC primer or PVC cement. The foam applicator housing contains a foam applicator specifically for applying PVC primer or PVC cement to either the inner surface of a PCV union, PVC sleeve, or to the outer surface of a PVC pipe giving a uniform application of PVC primer or PVC cement.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to coating of tubes, and more particularly to a system and method for coating and/or renovating deteriorated or pitted tubes to extend tube life and enhance performance. Using this system and method a thin coating is applied to the interior of a tube such that the coating is uniform in thickness and covers all regions of the tube. The coating material may be selected to minimize changes in heat transfer or may be selected to provide for the change in working fluid within the tube such that the working fluid does not negatively interact with the tube material.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a tool for holding a spray painting instrument, such as a painting gun for painting an internal surface of a pipe. In particular, the inventive tool is ideal for painting the interior of curves and angles in a pipe and is capable of moving through and uniformly painting up to 90 degree angles of pipes or hollow tubes. The tool has a hollow central tube for carrying a spray-painting gun and at least two projections extending outwardly from an outer surface of the hollow tube. A retracting arm assembly is provided on each projection. Each retracting arm assembly includes first and second retracting arms and a corresponding force exertion mechanism. In operation, when the tool is inserted inside the pipe, each retracting arm touches the internal surface of the pipe due to an outward force exerted thereon. The tool is movable inside the pipe and adjusts automatically to different pipe diameters. The tool can be used manually or in an automated fashion to push and pull the paint gun and paint the interior of a pipe.

    Abstract: This grease application device includes: a nozzle body that has a first end portion insertable into an inner spline portion, the inner spline portion being formed at an end portion of a workpiece; a nozzle that is formed on the first end portion of the nozzle body and discharges grease into a groove of the inner spline portion; a nozzle body shift portion that is connected to a second end portion of the nozzle body and that moves the nozzle body in a longitudinal direction, the second end portion being on an opposite side to the first end portion; a grease retention portion that retains the grease discharged from the nozzle; a grease pressure-feed portion that pressure-feeds the grease retained in the grease retention portion to the nozzle; and an operation portion that links an operation of causing the nozzle body shift portion to move the nozzle body from the first end portion toward the second end portion with an operation of causing the grease pressure-feed portion to discharge the grease from the nozzle.

    Abstract: A novel fluid dispenser system is described. The system is comprised of a plurality of connectors that each connect to one a plurality of fluid supply containers and, once connected, hold a valve on the supply container in an opened position. The connectors are connected, using flexible tubing, to a valve manifold that selectively dispenses fluid from each of the supply containers. The system provides a means of selectively and safely delivering fluid from large and ungainly supply containers without the need for lifting or otherwise manipulating the supply container itself. The system is especially useful in delivering laundry detergent and other additives from supply containers to a washing machine in a home use application.
