Control techniques for an electrically all-wheel drive (eAWD) hybrid vehicle involve determining whether to transition from an electric-only mode to a parallel mode based on a driver torque request or a state of charge (SOC) of a battery system. During the electric-only mode, the electric motor is operated such that a torque reserve is maintained. When the driver torque request exceeds a maximum drive torque that the electric motor is capable of generating, the electric-only to parallel mode transition is performed. This involves the electric motor depleting the torque reserve to provide an expected acceleration feel for the driver while engine and transmission speeds are synchronized. When the SOC of the battery system falls below an SOC threshold, the drive torque of the electric motor is decreased to zero upon engine/transmission speed synchronization such that the battery system can be recharged.

Cardiac Output (CO) has traditionally been difficult, dangerous, and expensive to obtain. Surrogate measures such as pulse rate and blood pressure have therefore been used to permit an estimate of CO. MEMS technology, evolutionary computation, and time-frequency signal analysis techniques provide a technology to non-invasively estimate CO, based on precordial (chest wall) motions. The technology detects a ventricular contraction time point, and stroke volume, from chest wall motion measurements. As CO is the product of heart rate and stroke volume, these algorithms permit continuous, beat to beat CO assessment. Nontraditional Wavelet analysis can be used to extract features from chest acceleration. A learning tool is preferable to define the packets which best correlate to contraction time and stroke volume.

A method of STA-initiated uplink (UL) aggregation is proposed in a wireless communication system. A bitrate allocation engine allocates bitrates for distributed encoding of source data. Upon receiving a chunk of source data, the bitrate allocation engine generates a curve based on multiple points that each specify a different visual quality level and corresponding encoding bitrate for encoding the chunk. Each of the member users is assigned a distinct communication identifier. The server generates for display at each of the user devices a selectable start option associated with the communication identifier assigned to the user of the user device. The server receives from a first user device among the user devices a selection of the start option and that includes the communication identifier of a first user among the users. In response, the server initiates a communication session, connects the first user device to the communication session, links the received communication identifier to the communication session, and generates for display at each of the user devices a respective selectable join option associated with the linked communication identifier and by which the communication session is accessible.
Methods and systems for distributed data verification between a relying party server and a client device using data attested by at least one attestation server. Entities are loosely coupled, while still allowing for authentication data and transaction data to be tightly coupled in any given interaction. There need not be any prior relationships between relying parties and attestation servers, or between relying parties and users. A common syntax enables a relying party to define what types of attested data items will be accepted for a particular transaction, without having to predetermine all possible sources of identification a user may wish to provide. The relying party may not know the source of the attested data items a priori, but can nevertheless determine if they are satisfactory once they are received.
