The method comprises monitoring first values of first performance parameters of the first radio access network at different instants of time prior to a predetermined transmission time interval. Then the second values of the one or more first performance parameters are predicted based on the first values. Further, the second values are compared against corresponding predetermined threshold values of the one or more first performance parameters and based on the comparison offloading of the data packets are triggered.
