Abstract: A method performed by a first network node for uplink congestion control in a radio network is provided. The first network node is operable to handle one or more first layers of a protocol stack for an uplink connection between a wireless device and the radio network and is communicatively coupled to a second network node handling one or more second, lower layers of the protocol stack. The method comprises obtaining an indication of a proportion of packets within an uplink user plane flow that are to be marked with a congestion indicator, in which the proportion is based on a delay experienced by packets of the uplink user plane flow sent by the wireless device to the second network node. The method further comprises marking the proportion of packets with the congestion indicator and transmitting packets for the uplink user plane flow towards a core network of the radio network.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to methods and systems for adjusting network speed to a gateway. The network speed adjustment system can include a gateway with the ability to manage a consumer-initiated temporary increase in network speed or network bandwidth. The network speed adjustment system can determine whether the provisioning system can support a network speed increase to the gateway. The provisioning system can measure the capacity of the network at the gateway location and determine whether the system can support providing the gateway with an increased network speed or increased bandwidth. When additional bandwidth capacity or network speed is available for a gateway location, a user can request the network increase by submitting a token via the gateway. The gateway can communicate with the provisioning system to increase the network speed according to the characteristics of the token.

Abstract: Information indicative of a current value of a channel bonding parameter of a modem device is sent from a modem device to a network entity. The channel bonding parameter controls a maximum quantity of secondary channels the modem device can bond. Responsive to sending the information, information indicative of a replacement value for the channel bonding parameter of the modem device is received. The replacement value is less than the current value. The current value of the channel bonding parameter is replaced with the replacement value. Based on the replacement value of the channel bonding parameter, a number of secondary channels less than or equal to the replacement value of the channel bonding parameter are bonded.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for an interference detection RAN application deployed across one or more RICs for detecting and identifying external interference in a RAN that includes multiple RAN base stations servicing users located across multiple regions, each region including at least one RAN base station. The method is performed for a particular region serviced by a particular RAN base station. The method detects an interference incident associated with the particular region. The method analyzes a pattern of spectrum interference associated with the particular region. Based on said analysis, the method determines whether the pattern of spectrum interference matches a first signature pattern associated with internal interference or a second signature pattern associated with external interference. When the pattern of spectrum interference matches the second signature pattern, the method generates an alert to notify an operator of the particular RAN base station of the external interference.
