An image processing integrated circuit 120 of the head-mounted display 100 transmits the image data to a display panel 122 through an interface 304 whose protocol is different from a protocol of the interface 300, without decoding and decompressing the image data. The display panel 122 displays the image that has been decoded and decompressed after being transmitted through the interface 304.
